Can't Unsubscribe from Newsletters

When I first joined Chow, I signed up to receive several newsletters, but later I decided that I didn't want them any longer. I went into the Settings/Newsletters tab in my profile, unchecked all of the boxes and clicked "Update Subscriptions". Problem is, I am still receiving newsletters, even though all of the boxes in my Newsletters tab remain unchecked. Not sure what to do about this. Can anyone help?

Your favorite meals in Montreal $25 and under (including tax and tip)

If you're looking for something SUPER cheap, there's a great little Asian bakery in Guy Concordia metro station called Harmonie that sells a wide variety of sweet and savory buns for tuppence a piece. Great if you only have a couple bucks in your pocket or don't have time to stop for a proper meal.

Eating local/organic in NDG

Update: myAntidote appears to be closed now. There's a for rent sign up in the window and the place looks barren. I guess business wasn't going so well? Strange, they were only there for a short time. Unfortunately I never got a chance to visit them.

Pumpkin pie!

Hi there!

I want to make a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving this year, and am wondering if anyone knows where to find a good pie pumpkin? All I have seen so far are the regular old carving pumpkins. I'm looking specifically for a cinderella pumpkin, but any good pie pumpkin would do.

Thanks!

Eating local/organic in NDG

My husband and I have just moved to Montréal and I am having a hard time finding organic and fair trade products. Does anyone know of a good place to go for that kind of thing?

Also, I recall reading something about food baskets that can be ordered from local farms. Does anyone know anything about those (such as when they are available, cost, etc.)?

Thanks so much!
