Tomato Pie in Philly Burbs?

Third Corropolese. It's exactly what a tomato pie should be. Never had a bad pie and never made it home without a piece or two missing. As a matter of fact. I might just have to grab a quarter for lunch.

Best Korean in the 'burbs? (i/s/o some really good bibimbap)

reporting back on August Moon...... stopped in tonight for dinner. Renovation is great. Very clean and modern. But the food. Sushi was tremendously fresh.
The waiter said they are having an official grand opening sometime in early june.
We ordered two rolls, spicy tuna and alaska roll. Not exotic rolls but very good. We also shared the seafood jampoong. VERY good. Just spicy enough with an udon noodle. The banchan was tastey. I'm a sucker for a good kim chi. Can't wait to go back. Hopefully it will catch back on that they are open again, We were the only customers there, the entire time.
two basic rolls, edamame, jampoong and soda- bill was 36 bucks.

Dinning in King of Prussia

Taqueria La Michoacana in Norristown. - Beef Tounge Tacos
Osteria at Evansburg in Collegeville. - Mussels
Probably two places you wouldn't go without a recommendation.
Can't forget to zip up 422 to Han Dynasty off the Royersford exit. - Dan Dan Noodles.
I frequent all three of these often and above are my favorites.

Bachelor Party Dinner at the Dandelion?

If you are thinking steakhouse, might also want to think about Fogo de Chao as well. Nothing gets the testosterone flowing like cutting meat off a sword.

FYI chowhounders. August Moon in Norristown is now re-opened after a lengthy remodeling. Haven't been yet, just thought i'd pass it along since they were closed for so long.

Collegeville Bakery Deli Americanized Hoagies

Coincidence. I will admit i am not a totally unbiased observer, but i think the food speaks for itself, as appearant in the lines. My grandfather is in their deli and does alot of their cooking. Their tomato pie is admittedly coming around. I grew up on Corropolease so its tough to switch, but they are getting there. But sandwiches, top notch.

Just caught this thread from a while ago and hope that Bacchus101 has tried again. The Chicken Cutlet Giovanni is also amazing. GREAT bread.

does anyone have an opinion on the comparison between locations..... i am local to the royersford locale and have eaten there on a few occasions. Is the city location head and shoulders above?

Any suggestions for non-meat options in KOP

I have been to the Kabob Cafe before. Just never gotten the falafel. Nice little shopping center there with a few different lunch options by the way.

Street Food - Tyson Bees

OK, now i'm endorsing. Popped by for a late lunch. Had the BBQ Lemongrass pork Bahn Mi and a Pork Bun. Pics below. Both were not something i would expect to have gotten from a truck. Very good. The pictures dont do them much justice. They are more refined than the pictures lead on.

Roast Pork, Subs & Cheesesteaks - Plymouth Meeting/Conshy/Norristown

I have not had the roast pork there. Have had other things; its just unimpressive. They do have a delicious beer selection. More of a watering hole than an eatery, for me though. Maybe ill give the roast pork a shot next time.

Sessano's roast pork is top notch.
I'm a Lou's guy over Eve's. Small zep with hots.

For a bit of a car trip, try the pork at Giovanni's Italian Market ontop of mile hill on Ridge right before Collegeville. Or better yet, get the cutlet, long hots and sharp prov.

You should definately get familiar with Corrpolease bakery as well.

And please, Hoagie.

I also suggest the roast beef sandwich (not a hoagie) at Ye Ole Ale House on Germantown in Lafayette Hill.

Street Food - Tyson Bees

A recent trip to NYC got my attention drawnt to street vendors. I know that the Tysons Bees truck parked over at UPENN has been getting some attention and i plan to investigate tomorrow. I wanted to get a sense of some of the other popular food trucks in the city. Anybody doing anything creative in those trucks?

Pizza help in Norristown

I second Nippers in Jeffersonville. I do not think they deliver though (not positive). Main Street Pizza has gone downhill lately in my opinion. Just not what the used to be. IM speaking of the original Main Street Pizza in Norristown, never been to the eagleville location. Charlie's also is great. They use cornmeal in their crust and make a great red-on-top pie. Charlie's does not deliver. But Via Veneto is definately the best pizzeria-style pizza in norristown. Just greasy enough, floppy, but not too messy. I know all have been mentioned already but wanted to add my two-cents. Wings is an entirely different subject.

There is a new-er Indian BYOB on the east end of Main Street called Laxmi's. I'm speaking without having dined there yet. But they seem to have a nice little place. Next to Yunkers bar.

I forgot to add and my reason for reading this post on Seasons 52...... company holiday lunch is forthcoming there. Not looking like a wow from the above comments.

Has Anyone Been to Seasons 52 in KOP By the Mall?

It appeared that the California Cafe in the KOP mall has closed or was closed the other day when i walked by. Not certain, but they were definately closed. I don't know if its part of the ongoing flood rehab or what. They did make some great (espresso) martinis and their lamb chop lollipops were pretty tastey. Hopefully they are just remodeling, but closed during the holiday season i have fears.
I definately second Blue Pacific. There hot and sour soup is one of my favorites and sushi is always top notch.

I am also a Wild Rice supporter. They offer a nice bento box lunch.
