Barnstable Village is what I was told |
|

I appreciate your novella. I didn't realize Barnstable is so large. I have checked, and we the house is in Barnstable Village. Hope that helps. Thank you for your time. |

I have no idea what the section is called (not from there). I can tell you based on google maps. It is literally on the water on the North side of the Cape. The map shows it is due north from the end of the Hyanis-Barnstable Rd./Hyanis Road. Not sure if that helps. I can try to get more info if necessary. |

My parents rented a house in Barnstable for a week this summer. Our family is very very food-centric, and I was hoping to get an early start on learning the food scene over there. Looking for some good recommendations for eateries. Obviously, we love the lobster roll/ steamer/ fried whole belly places, but we are also wanting to just find good finds. I don't care if its an awesome hot dog stand, etc ... Just want great places. Both lunch type places and a few dinner too. Willing to travel on the Cape for great food, but looking for some local stuff near where we are staying. In addition to restaurants, can anyone recommend good bakeries, cheese shops, butchers, fishmongers, etc ??? Looking for something more than an everyday basic run-of-the-mill grocery store. Lastly, driving from NY and interested in any must-stop places for lunch on the way. Thanks for all the help. |

It's cold and rainy; I need ramen soup. Living in the City for so long, we'd just go to Momofuku Noodle Bar. Is there any place to go in Westchester? Is H-Mart on Central Ave my best bet? |

Last Restaurant Before First Baby I really appreciate everyones advice. My wife really likes sitting by the water so we are going to just go to X2O. She has never been there, so I hope she likes it. They'll be more dinners.... just not as often and not as much $$. Thanks to all!! |

Last Restaurant Before First Baby We've been to Elia Taverna. The food was very good, but I think I am looking for something a little nicer. We have done Tarry Lodge, Cookery, Eastchester Fish Gourmet. Looking for somewhere new |

Last Restaurant Before First Baby Wife is 37 weeks pregnant with first baby so dont want to go into Manhattan. Looking for a great restaurant for what could be our last "real dinner" out for a while. We have reservations at Tarry Lodge but may want to go elsewhere. Someone recommended eleven14kitchen in J House in Greenwich, Restaurant North in Armonk, and Harper's in Dobbs Ferry. Any thoughts. I was thinking X2O but my wife is a pescatarian so I'm not sure if there enough options there for her. Thanks!!! |

I want to take my pregnant wife for dinner for her birthday. We live in Scarsdale and usually go to Manhattan, but I'm thinking of staying up here since she can drive me home if I've had too much to drink? Any suggestions? |
|

Thanks. I am primarily looking for take out for places that make good savory foods |

I moved from Brooklyn to Scarsdale, and I'm looking to get some very good kosher for passover food. When I was in Brooklyn, I'd head to Pomegranate, which is like a kosher Whole Foods or Fairway. Amazing stuff. I'm try to save the schlep after work on day to pick up some great stuff for Passover. Any advice on a closer place? Thanks. |

My wife and I are headed to the Four Seasons in Palm Beach for the first weekend in May. Can anyone recommend some great restaurants in the area? Thanks! |

Fine Dining with a pregnant wife Thank you to all. I do not mean to imply that pregnancy is some sort of disability. To the contrary -- it is beautiful. My wife, by her choice, is not eating undercooked fish, eggs, poultry, or unpasteurized cheeses, butters, or milks. Each person should make whatever decisions they are comfortable with |

Fine Dining with a pregnant wife My wife and I are celebrating our 5th anniversary in the middle of March, and we plan to go out to one of the best restaurants in the City to celebrate. Initially, we were thinking Le Bernardin, Per Se, Daniel, etc ... since we haven't been to any of these. A few weeks ago, we became ecstatic to learn that my wife is pregnant with our first child. Obviously, there are a lot of things my wife cannot eat. Looking at the menus, we are unsure where to go. Does anyone know if these types of restaurants are accommodating? Any suggestions? Thanks!!! |

Anyone ever eat dinner at the restaurant in the movie theatre at Ridge Hill, I think it is called Studio 3. Headed to a movie and just deciding if the food was decent or if I am better off at Cheesecake Factory or Yard House or someplace else in the area. Thanks!! |

Again, thak you for all your responses. We've already had Haiku, Burrito Poblano, Little Thai Kitchen, Frank Pepe, and Candlelight. Best burger in Westchester is? |
|

Israeli food in Westchester? Falafel, Shwarma, etc ...? |

Thanks to EVERYONE!!!! Soo much information. We have already eaten from Haiku and Little Thai Kitchen, and we may go to The Burrito Poblano for lunch. I forgot to mention, anyone have any thoughts for Jamaican or Cuban in Westchester? |

My wife and I have moved from Brooklyn to Scarsdale. We love the area, but we need some help finding great food, which seems to be on every corner in Brooklyn and Manhattan. We know Scarsdale has a reputation for being extravagant. However, we are looking for some great food for reasonable prices. We love to eat authentic foods ... whether it be Cantonese, Thai, Korean, Italian, Greek, etc ... but not suburban versions of authentic .... Can anyone share some suggestions for great, authentic, and reasonably priced food in mid-Westchester? Thanks!!! |
