Lunch and Dinner in Indianapolis

We will be right downtown, so these all look like great options--I'll post when we get back and let you know how we fared (pun intended!)--thanks so much!

Lunch and Dinner in Indianapolis

I'm travelling with my husband to Indianapolis weekend of April 12. Any suggestions for interesting places for lunch and dinner? We're from Toronto and don't get a lot of good Mexican/Mexican-inspired food here, so suggestions in this area would be especially welcome. We're also interested more in really high-quality ingredients than being in a place "to be seen," so anything Mexican, eclectic and/or just really good and "local" could be on our list. Please advise--and thanks!

Malasadas in Toronto?

Can anyone tell me where I can find malasadas/malassadas (a Portuguese fried dessert) in Toronto? Thanks!

Sushi for Lunch in T.O.

Thanks for the recs, everyone. Think I'm going to go for Yuzu this time--I've never tried it so will be a fun adventure for me and my niece (honestly, next to my husband, she's the most adventurous eater I've ever met--will be great fun to share this experience!). I'll keep the other places on my list for next time. Will report back later. Happy weekend, everyone!

Sushi for Lunch in T.O.

I'm taking my 13-year-old niece out for a sushi lunch tomorrow (Saturday) in Toronto. It's her first real experience with sushi/sashimi (has had some California rolls before but that's about it--is quite adventurous and discerning for her age, however, and she says she wants to try sashimi), so I want to take her somewhere with decent but fairly inexpensive choices (say, $40 for the two of us--no alcohol on my part). Any suggestions? I don't drive and would prefer to stay in one of the following areas: downtown, Yonge-Eg, Queen West or East. I've read some really terrible things about Sushi Island, so please don't suggest that. What about Tokyo Sushi or Echo Sushi? What else would be a good starter place for her? My hubby and I love Sushi Kaji, but I think I'll have to put that one off for awhile! Thanks for any suggestions!
