Acadia -- who else has been?

I've been here for brunch multiple times this summer. It's probably my fave brunch in the city. The portions aren't very big but they are delicious and different than the standard eggs toast and bacon. They were also doing 8$ bottomless mimosas (grapefruit and orange). I haven't been since maybe August though? The website says they're still doing brunch. I went for dinner this summer under the new chef. Very different than it used to be, not nearly as amazing as it once was but still very good.

Help me use up my pimenton!

This is a fantastic use of pimenton, its also a really simple/quick dinner, I made it twice this week. I preferred it with hanger steak over bavette and used more pimenton then she did.

Has anyone been to Acadia since Dustin Gallagher has taken over?

Fresh young ginger [Buffalo area]

apparently 7$/lb is about market price for spring ginger. (ny times references it as ranging between $5-10/lb) How young and fresh was the ginger? was it pinkish at all?

I will absolutely let you know if I find it, if you would do the same I'd really appreciate it. Might try Wychwood Barns farmers market this weekend if I have the time. Good luck hunting!

Fresh young ginger [Buffalo area]

I searched all over China town and Kensington market last night for young ginger. I'll try the St Lawrence market today. Please let me know if you find any in Toronto I'd love to get some young ginger!

best $200 pot set?

Hi Pat50
I was wondering how you were liking your Langostina pots. I was thinking about getting the Langostina clad pot which I think is the same (but i'm not sure) but also couldn't find any reviews.

momofuku toronto

I also had the Chilled spicy noodles. The flavour was nice ,but did you find the sausage to be gritty? It made for an bit of an odd.. sound when chewing. Or is this the way the sichuan sausage is supposed to be? I've never had it before. Just curious

About Cheese on Church

They just started selling truffled mac n cheese with mushrooms slices in it. It was easily the best I've ever had. Soooo tasty. I really like this store they are always encouraging you to sample different cheeses so that you know you will never buy a cheese that you don't love. Unfortunately I often end up buying way to much cheese because so much of it is delicious!

Saturday night dinner (Girls night out)

Hey, I'm going to Vegas this weekend with 7 of my girlfriends, We're all 25-26 and I was wondering where you would recommend going for a nice dinner on Saturday night. I think we'd be looking for something no more then 100/pp (including a drink or two) and we'll be going out after (so if there are any good restos/bars maybe?) I've heard good things about Delmonico's , N9NE, L'Atieler, Alex and Mario Batali's B&B, but i'm not sure if any of these would fit in our budget?
Thanks in advance for any tips!
