Where In Montreal Can A Foodie And Vegetarian Both Eat? Are there any fine dining or upscale restaurants that cater to an adventurous eater and a vegetarian alike? I'll try anything; my boyfriend is a mushroom-hating leaf lover who will possibly try seafood if we can't find a classy joint with more to offer him than a side of asparagus. On the train now from Detroit -- you québécois really seem to love your red meat! Open to any culture too, if it's fancy |

Michael Symon - overhyped/overexposed? I loved Lolita in terms of atmosphere and food, but I do agree that the service was a bit off. However, as someone who's dined at Roast several times, I can say that I've never had anything but five-star service ... nor witnessed it. And the times Symon's been in town, he's made his presence known. Compare it to the schizophrenic Wolfgang Puck at MGM in Detroit, and I'd say Mike is doing everything right. |

Where are all the young chefs in Michigan? Top Chef reruns are starting to bum me out. Where are our groundbreaking, innovative chefs under 40 in the Metro Detroit area? I only seem to read about Yamauchi, Polcyn and the Matt Prentice company. :) Would love to try out some younger chefs, if I knew where they were cooking! Detroit/Windsor area |
