Wanted: Buttery Chardonnay for everyday drinking

I'm a big fan of the Fetzer Chardonnay when I'm looking for cheap and buttery.

I just got back from Aruba and my favorite meals were at:
Madame Jeannettes (far and away the best food)
Flying Fishbone - crazy romantic and excellent wine list
Salt and Pepper - a solid choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner

My least favorite were:
Trattoria del Faro Blanco was a disappointment and very overpriced.
Bugaloe's was downright horrible.
Pelican's Nest I avoided just after looking at it.
Tandoor has awful service, but ok food.
Casa Tua - but you get what you pay for.

I wish I could have gotten into Carte Blanche, but I forgot to book a month ahead...

Mexican on UES?

How did noone say Taco Taco?? The fried fish tacos are perfect every time.

The Best Pizzas in New York Today

That square pizza is sheer heaven. Grimaldi's has nothing on DiFara...except for location and number of tables :)

Suggestions for Great Foods in NYC

I'd suggest Di Fara's Pizza - especially if you have a car. Although it's not really a restaurant atmosphere - you may struggle to find a seat.

I think 5 Napkin Burger is a good classic american place. It's my favorite hamburger in the city.

best french fries

Best french fries I've had in Manhattan are at The Little Owl in the West Village. The chili aioli that goes with it is pure heaven.

Next on the list are the fries at Taim with the saffron aioli.

For taste alone, the sweet potato fries at George Keelys on the UWS.

I find SS fries exciting only when dipped in a milkshake :)

Itinerary Help

You've got to check out the Burger Joint - it's inside the Parker Meridian and I've heard the burger is one of the best in the city. Sorry I can't attest to it's goodness myself. Personally my favorite burger/beer place is 5 Napkin Burger, of which there are a few in the city.

For Vegetarians : Daniel or Bouley?

I understand that at Bouley, they are very accommodating to vegetarians are willing to whip up a tasting menu with their tastes in mind.

Daniel, however, has a vegetarian menu, but not a vegetarian tasting menu, and they seem less inclined to make changes to their tasting menu.

For a luxurious dinner for a vegetarian, which would you prefer? Daniel or Bouley? Prixe fixe or tasting menu?

Needs recs for 4 nights in London near Vauxhall

I'm looking for a few things -
Excellent fish and chips
Indian food (will head to the famous brick lane, I suppose!)
A classy pub to hit up near Vauxhall
A good date place - italian food would be a plus!

Any recommendations?

Price is important, so please try to pick places that are on a modest budget :)

Btw - a NYC beer is about $6-8, how much is a London pint?
