calorie counter

Is there a website that allows you to type in a recipe and then gives you a nutritional breakdown? I am trying to keep track of my calorie intake as well as fat grams and all that stuff. Since almost none of my cookbooks have this info listed, it is sort of a hassle and mostly I just guess about it. The only websites I can find on google seem to be member only. Am I doomed to only eating packaged foods so I can keep track? Help!

Get a copy of Square Meals or any of those "Back of the Box" books, you''ll be fine!

help me pick a "mad man" era dessert for christmas

I would suggest anything that you set on fire. Crepes Suzette, Bananas Foster, Cherries Jubilee. Those would have been "smart" desserts for the era. Anything from Julia Child. Or check out Jane and Michael Stern's "American Gourmet" for the fancy food of the era.

anniversary dinner in Hershey

We are going to be in the midst of a road trip for our anniversary. We are thinking of staying at the Hotel Hershey and having dinner at one of the restaurants. Is the Circular Dining Room a good choice? Or should we just give the whole thing a miss and wait until we get to Pittsburgh?
Thanks for your input.

Gibsons, anyone? (or, is their a better cocktail onion?)

Have you tried the "Tipsy Onions"? They can be found in high end grocery stores or online. They are allegedly soaked in vermouth. They are larger than Reece's, more like what you get in a fancy cocktail lounge. The company also makes olives and cocktail cherries.
