Tis the season... the I-95 Southern Haul: coffee please.

There's is tonS of food. Drive from nyc to sav pretty regularly. Fun. PlAces. Country cookin all over va. Grilled fish. Liver and onions S. Tell them not to overcook. For $2 more they have a great salad bar. Menu on line.
Fuller in lumberton nc. Great southern buffet. No money. They have second location. Florence S c Percy and Willies. Great home made croissants. Salads. Full dinners. Prime rib sandwich.
Lake Marion craigs deli exit 98. Palin I p B&B. With honey. Great. Those r just a few buy I 95 guide. Soon u can stop at Tanger outlets in Pooler and better is cookout. Family owned. 40 flavors of great shakes pulled pork burgers etc etc.
You will definitely gain. But most is better than just edible
Starbucks is only as good as the batista. Stick with Duncan donuts. The coffee is always good. Never bitter.
Have fun. Explore. Never after dark.

unrisen rise

first rise is fabulous, second rise is splat...any ideas why...I followed the recipe exactly, used their times, checked all temps and a total disaster...very deflating, no pun intended (well, maybe)

Kenmore Stand Mixer vs Kitchenaid/Cuisinart

thank you....nice to know someone else has replaced their really medicore kitchenaid with a truly terrific machine....everything about the cuisinart is superior....

Betrayed by Kitchenaid - is it possible that the stand mixer is Not All That?

I too had the professional model - it brokedown in its first year of use....I have grown to truly detest the kitchenaid mixers....the blades don't reach the bottom of the bowls....I now have a cuisinart mixer that is a dream to use - light weight, stronger motor, etc. etc.

Stand Mixer - Cuisinart or Kitchenaid?

I have owned 4 kitchenaid mixers in my baking history, ranging from the cheapest to the industrial....they have all been given away....the cuisinart wins hands is lighter to lift (the kitchenaid giving you a hernia) - it has a stronger motor, wonderful balloon whisk...and would someone, anyone, please explain to me why you would pay to have a mixer whose blades NEVER reach the bottom of the bowl....ridiculous...
I took a class with Carole Walter and asked her that question, she said she has to detach the blade to make it low enough to do the job...
The answer for me, as to why the kitchenaid is so popular is that it was first - the cooking schools are locked into that brand and cannot switch due to cost and therefore unless you really investigate you go with the most widely used...also the cuisinart is more expensive-but well worth it..
