Deep Dish pizza, Gino's East's Original location in Chicago, with Dorothy Pfister. The night was magical, and the food was but one part of it. Twenty five years or so later, we returned. The pizza was as wonderful as before, but the renewed friendship and the amazing woman that Dorothy has become are both beyond the wildest imaginings of the college student I was when we first ate there. Some cultures say that to break bread together is among the most intimate of human activities. I tend to agree, and I am blessed to have friends like Dorothy to share it with.
