So I just complained to the manager of the montgomeryville wegmans

The produce is so much better than our local Giant... As is the meat department.

Just started making Wegmans in Malvern a regular stop.

jules thin crust pizza

The asparagus pizza/flatbread is my fav. Seasonally offered.

Anything new in Chester / Delaware Counties

Not Asian, but we had a great meal at edgewood grill in Havertown. Might be cash only, hoping to get back soon.

Quiet lunch near 400 Arch

Thanks for the reply. There are some mobility issues as well so we're looking as close as possible. I'm going to add this one to the list.

Quiet lunch near 400 Arch

Meeting family from out of town at Wyndham downtown. Looking for a lunch spot close by on a Saturday. It will be group of 10±, so general fair options probably best so something for everyone.

Would like noise level low so we can carry on conversation :-)

Thanks for any suggestions!

Delaware County, PA Restaurants

Know this is an old thread, but read about this place in the Inquirer and checked it out this weekend - great meal. The place was totally redone and beautiful inside.

Pasta was homemade, and the pizza is yummy brick oven (enjoyed the margarita). Limited seating so I'd suggest checking it out on an off time if possible.

Are Spread bagels all that?

We much prefer Ny bagel to original in broomall ... unfortunate for me as I could walk to original bagel.

If you goto original bagel, skip the egg sandwich. Microwaved and disappointing.

Vegetarian Steamed Buns - bulk purchase?

Is there any place to buy steamed buns in the burbs (otherwise Philly) in bulk for freezing? I've had Asian friends give me batches and they freeze well and make a great snack - would love to find a local place to buy them!

The Local - new cafe in Souderton

Had the pleasure of checking out The Local for dinner finally. I know in this thread I must sound like I have stock in the place, but it was one of the best meals I've ever had. I previously have enjoyed a lunch there (and posted as such), but dinner is where the chef here shines. I only wish I lived closer!

I was glad to see at 7pm on a Saturday most if not all the tables were taken.

Dry Aged Sliders app was the best slider (and burger) I've ever had out. So much flavor, juicy, etc.

If only chef Oz could teach a chef in Delco how to source locally and cook ingredients as well as he does, I'd be one happy girl. I'm envious of those of you who live close to this place.

Sang Kee opening in Edgemont / Newtown Square in August

Ate there tonight during their soft opening. For starters tried chicken spring roll (great) and scallion pancake (wouldn't get again, to me had strong fried after taste). The main noodle dishes my husband and I both liked beef mei fun and Singapore noodle. The Singapore noodle didn't match description on menu, but was good none the less. Both dishes were marked spicy but neither were.

Table to our right was confused that their noodle bowl dishes were served in a broth like a soup... I had same issue on my first visit to wynewood location, not sure why their menu doesn't explain that better.

Service was ok, definitely some confusion but to be expected with new place I guess.

The owners were milling around talking to guests which made me confident the small bumps in the road should quickly be over come. Quality of food was good enough we'll be back... They said full menu should be avail in 2 weeks. Glad to have good Asian food closer to home,

Cocktail for BBQ suggestions?

thanks everyone. I wish I knew if i could get juicy limes! Last year so many limes I got had almost no juice in them that I'm afraid to keep a pitcher handy of margaritas I might need hundreds of limes. decisions decisions.

Cocktail for BBQ suggestions?

Any suggestions for a BBQ cocktail? been enjoying some of the threads here, tempted to try the recent Mai Tai recipe posted but I'm a cocktail newb so it's a little intimidating.

I love fresh margaritas but don't think I can keep up squeezing limes while entertaining.

Maybe Paloma or Hemingway (havent been able to find Luxardo so far though)

Thanks for any suggestions !

Checked out B&O Brasserie last night

Here for work, seems like B&O pretty popular on the board so we checked it out to see something different.

We really enjoyed the Queen Bee cocktails, and the service was great.

It was disappointing the menu is different than what's online (I had my heart set on a few things that weren't offered)...

There was no duck flatbread with egg option I had read about here, so we got a shrimp/corn version. It was just ok. way too dry IMO.

Pork belly was a bit different from what's on the online menu, it was pretty good but one of the pieces was more dry than the other 2 (almost no fat?).

Husband got the deviled eggs, they were as described but not too different tasting than the deviled eggs my mom makes :)

We did get an asparagus salad I liked very much, had peas and sprouts of some sort that was really good.

For dessert, we got the red velvet doughnuts with the shake, it was tasty and fun to get something very different, but not mind blowing. Husband had the chocolate cake and said it was ok. It looked impressive with the toasted top, but I was too full to taste.

Other menu changes - No oxtail ravioli, there was a pea ravioli version, which we skipped. No duck fat fries, no scallops, and no crab fried rice. We definitely had planned on ordering some/all of these items.

Downsizing our grocery bill, family of 4....

If you have time to learn the system, you can pretty easily get free toothpaste/shampoo/conditioner/toothbrushes at CVS and other drug stores.

there is a learning curve at first and a lot of planning, but after a week or 2 it's pretty easy to get the hang of. there are whole message boards that are devoted to this, if interested my favorite is slickdeals dot net - forums - grocery/drug store

good luck
