What would you do if you dropped dinner on the floor?

If they weren't being served to anyone else and just for me, I'd scoop them up and use them...

Manners Manifesto

A quick Google search led me to this: First of all, in "stately" society, any appearance of being overly indulged in your food might be seen as low and peasant-like.

I will check Butcher and Singer, thank you! Definitely interested in getting: a good steak, good wine and options for the non steak lovers, basically.

The Capital Grille Center City?

Beginning to scout steakhouses for a birthday dinner and was looking at some recommendations. Barclay Prime is just too pricey, unfortunately......thoughts on Capital Grille?

Your most cherished food memories...

LOL!! And I always had to fish for the biggest one too...

Your most cherished food memories...

Oh and the time when my grandmother made mashed potatoes in a nonstick pan.....one of the very EARLY nonstick pans and everyone complimented her on her parslied mashed potatoes.....she used a metal spoon and the nonstick coating flaked off into the potatoes!! LOL

Your most cherished food memories...

I remember Woolworth's too!!! And taking the trolley to downtown Philly......and walking to the "corner store" to get deli meats and potato salad and A PICKLE FROM THE BARREL!! There was just something about the pickles from the barrel that I always loved. And my grandmother's lemon whipped cream pie....never liked the meringue, so she made whipped cream! Great thread!

I've been chilled all day but for some reason just HAD to have a salad for dinner....so spinach and romaine with dried cherries, blue cheese and chicken it was....with wine ;)

Leftover Week

That's a really good idea! I need to do better with that also....I freeze things in a container WAY too big to be able to use it up....

19 degrees here this morning!! Brrrr.....but, despite the misery of the cold I'm making an effort to eat healthier and exercise again.....so last night was ground turkey sauteed with a packet of a Tomato/Taco sauce packet made by Rick Bayless.....pretty good!! Served over sauteed cabbage.....Previous night was some pork roast with vegetables and some Asian sauce.....

Leftover Week

I have way more than a weeks worth of food In my freezer....and yes, I need to work on this....I'm in!
