Firenze Sandwich Shop - Antico Noe

I could not agree more. I studied in Florence in 2007 and lived a block from Antico Noe and ate there at least once a week. The #15 on the menu is the best! It's 4 years later and I still find myself dreaming about having this sandwich. I don't know what they put in their rose sauce but it is the best thing I've ever had. Photo attached...

A vegetarian at Minetta Tavern?

I went to Minetta last week and thought it was AMAZING. I'm a meat eater but my mom is a vegetarian and ordered the za za without pancetta. The waiter was more than accommodating and offered to have the chef prepare a vegetarian dish not on the menu for her which I thought was really nice. The cote de boeuf is a must-order and the bone marrow is one of the more interesting things I've ever tried. We had the oxtail and foie gras appetizer and I thought it was ok. I wish there had been more foie and less oxtail. Definitely one of my favorite meals in the city in the past few months!

Starting Law School -- Columbus Circle Eats?

PJ Clarke's is a great reasonably priced place to get a burger right next to Fordham. Whole Foods is also great, although it can get pricey.

need fun but nice b-day dinner for an LA person

Barbounia on 250 Park Ave. is excellent. I've eaten there many times and always loved the food. It's Mediterranean food is always prepared well and I've never been disappointed in my food or the cocktails I got there. Great atmosphere, pretty trendy as well. Moderately priced..definitely not cheap though!

Other suggestions:

Spice Market in the meatpacking district (also asian but great atmosphere)

Bryant Park Grill

Hope these suggestions help!

Flurt Frozen Yogurt

YES! That's exactly what this tastes like. I just spent 6 months in Italy and the only type of frozen yogurt I could find was literally...yogurt that was frozen. I felt Flurt was even better than Pinkberry because it had a creamier texture. Pinkberry had more of a italian ice feel to it for me.
