After dinner drinks and maybe some jazz near Verizon center...
We'll be visiting DC and having an early dinner at Rasika next weekend. Can anyone recommend somewhere to go for after dinner drinks and some music afterward? The restaurant is a couple blocks south of the Verizon Center.

Getting tired of beef, lamb and goat - ready to try something new
Can you get fresh Bison in your area? Most Shoprites have fresh ground Bison. I used it for tacos recently.
edit:
Oops, just realized you were talking about restaurants, sorry!
Where to eat at or near the Greenbrier Resort in WSS, WV?
Greenbrier is a luxury resort in the middle of a lower socioeconomic area, so if it's fine dining you want, I'd stay on the grounds. Haven't been there since I was a kid, but I remember it being a beautiful place. If you really want alternatives, there's probably a Denny's close by, maybe if you're lucky an Applebee's...
Cape May's Moonfish Grill, RIP?
Heard from a usually reliable source that the Moonfish Grill has been sold to a new owner and will reopen soon with a new name and menu. Anyone confirm?

Anything new from Avalon to Cape May
Have not been to Blackfish yet, heard it was good but really big, a turn off for me.
Fuze in Avalon is nice, a little swanky if you care to dress up, but don't have to, jazz on the weekends too.
Also heard that Sora, on the site of the old Sea Salt was very good, got a nice review in the AC Press lately.
Jay's on 3rd in SH is good, as is Quahogs, both were there last year though, so not so new.
Buying local seafood and produce near Sea Isle City
I'm pretty sure that Stone Harbor has organized a weekly farmers market, similar to the one in Margate at Steve and Cookies. You could probably contact Stone Harbor local government for details.
As far as fresh seafood, Lobster House in Cape May is probably the best.
Delicious Orchards Favorites?
About an hour - know anyplace closer to me that sells ramps in season?
Delicious Orchards Favorites?
Ramps when in season - I drive all the way from Atlantic City to get them.
Can Anyone Help Me Out With The Hagerstown, Maryland Area?
I'm no Hagerstown expert, but I pass through now and then. I don't know of any great local places, but there are the typical chains - Olive Garden, Chilil's, etc.
There is also a food court at the Prime Outlets shopping center.
Hope that helps.
Pit Beef in NJ or DE?
Here's a link to a great NYT article from a few years ago, including a recipe. Also specifies top round.
The roadside places described are no longer there, but Chaps still is.

Pit Beef in NJ or DE?
Someone told me that the health department has put a big dent in the roadside pit beef stands - they don't seem to have very long lifespans. Last time had pit beef was at Chaps.
Pit Beef in NJ or DE?
Short answer is, no you won't find it in NJ, DE or even most of MD outside of the greater Baltimore area. Closest thing is a roast beef sandwich with horseradish sauce.
sorry..
South Jersey shore garlic scapes
Don't know about the garlic scapes in particular, but there's a farmers' market every thursday in the parking lot at Steve & Cookies restaurant in Margate.
DC to NJ Shore Recommendations
Ever had a Pit Beef sandwich? It's a Baltimore delicacy. There are several roadside stands on the Pulaski Highway which parallels I-95 east of Baltimore. Also a place called Chaps is very good.
Here's an old article from NYT - a lot of these places are gone now, but Chaps is still there.

Driving from NJ to Cleveland
There's a good diner right off of exit 21 on the PA turnpike (Reading Lancaster exit). It used to be Zinn's Diner and was a tourist attraction in itself. Recently changed hands and is now called the Park Place Diner, but it's still about the same quality food.
This is Amish farm country - don't expect fine dining, but the food is good and the portions are large.
Save room for some Shu-Fly Pie!
pizza in atlantic City
The Baltimore Grill has a reputation for good pizza, but I've never actually had any.
Sea Salt in Stone Harbor, R.I.P.
You might want to try Quahog's Seafood Shack in Stone Harbor. It's owned by the couple who ran Sea Salt. It's a little downscale from Sea Salt but similar in philosophy. Very creative dishes, lots of organic local grown vegetables, sustainable seafood, etc.
Ocean City w/o kids
Sorry to hear that. To be honest I've only been there once, but our food was good and the atmosphere is nice that time.
Maybe try a sweet one next time?

How about a little french cafe specializing in sweet and savory crepes?

Cumberland, Maryland - is there anybody there ?
I'm originally from that area and still visit family there. You won't find any 'fine dining' there, but they've made a pedestrian mall out of the historic downtown district, and you can probably find a decent place there. I don't remember the name of it but there's a place that fits your description near the C&O canal museum (which is also cool!).
This might be it...
cheers!

Sea Salt in Stone Harbor, R.I.P.
We tried Jay's on Third last year and though it was excellent - not as cozy as Sea Salt, but very good. Also a BYO.

Sea Salt in Stone Harbor, R.I.P.
Shocked to learn my favorite southern NJ restaurant has closed it's doors! Apparently the chef has moved to the Ebbit Room in Cape May.
Atlantic City Boardwalk?
There are not that many good restaurants near the Taj, but if you like Indian, the Royal Albert Palace is very good, located in the Taj itself. someone mentioned Opa, but it's closed for good.
Philadelphia University City Saturday Brunch
This is the first I've heard of Rx, and it looks like they do have a saturday brunch, but their website appears to be down so we can't check out the menu. We'll put it on the research list though. I'm really intrigued with Marigold and would definitely try it brunch or not, but unless I'm mistaken they're only open for dinner on saturday, and that's too late.
We just tried Distrito and it was nice, but mexican won't fly with some of the group we'll be with. ( I preferred Amata and Tinto to Distrito btw, but they're all good).
Philadelphia University City Saturday Brunch
I was looking for something a little more reasonable costwise. I've been to La Croix and it's certainly nice, but I didn't care for the vibe there compared to the spread at the Four Seasons (Fountain?). Anyway, looking for something a little more casual and close to University City, Thanks, though.
Philadelphia University City Saturday Brunch
Looks nice, but according to their website brunch is sundays only - we need saturday.
Thanks though.
Philadelphia University City Saturday Brunch
Looking for a post graduation commencement brunch for noonish on a saturday in June - any suggestions? Already under consideration are White Dog Cafe & Jack's Firehouse.
