The proportion of water in generic butter is getting ridiculous!

I have been using Costco unsalted butter for years and within the last 6 months I noticed the price come down, but the water in the butter has obviously gone up. My baked goods are not browning as well and my Swiss buttercream is not whipping up as smoothly. I have also noticed considerable sputtering when melting butter over the stove and and even exploding butter in the microwave. I'd much rather go back to the higher price and have good butter again. Very disappointing- I'll be giving Costco a piece of my mind today!
