Patois or herbsaint?

need some help guys....

I agonize over restaurants when I go to a great culinary city. Any help on this would be appreciated. I have a reservation at both, but cannot decide.

Or, if you think there is something I should do instead, lay it on me. I love French bistro type fair, but can be persuaded to go outside if nature calls. There will be six of us and are looking for somewhere with great food, great wine and cocktails and a fun atmosphere.

I was thinking about lemforet, but seems too stuffy....

Thoughts?????

Suggestions for Friday dinner NOLA

I have seen these names all over this board, which usually means that they are great spots.

However, is there anywhere that does not get the "Chow" hype that is a standaout. I am willing to venture out of the standards. There are just so many options in New Orleans and hjard to pick just one...

Let me know your thoughts...

Suggestions for Friday dinner NOLA

I will be in New Orleans for the weekend in October and just have one night that we will be able to experience what the city has to offer. I have eaten at many of the fine New Orleans restaurants in the past, but would love some suggestions from the folks on this board. I will be staying in the quarter, but will have a vehicle. I'm looking for a place that is a modern approach to New Orleans cooking, but wouldn't mind a traditional venue. Please give me your feedback as to where you would go if you just had 1 meal. It does not have to be fancy by any means.

Thoughts?

As a side note, I am heading to baton rouge on saturday. Any suggestions for a local spot for lunch I could hit up on the way?

One meal in New Orleans (Saturday Lunch)

I am attending a wedding and staying in the quarter. Luke looked good to me. Any feedback?

Also, I need a quick bite before the party this evening. Maybe a po-boy. Anything close to the Ritz on canal?

One meal in New Orleans (Saturday Lunch)

I will be in New Orleans next weekend for a wedding and only have one meal that is not part of the wedding festivities. Can anyone help me with the one place they would go for Saturday lunch? I know this is hard, but I would like to go to a spot that would traditionally be a dinner spot, but is open for lunch.

Thank you for your suggestions!
