Best Best Best Pizza in Vancouver - The Bibo

Piatzo was a good pizza restaurant with no business plan. I think that Bibo is much much better. The owners are both from Italy, the pizza cook is from Italy and I think that the food is made with love. They only just opened and I think that their official big opening is still a couple of weeks away. There used to be greek restaurant there (since closed) that was always empty. Last night the restaurant was just about full. I ate a Cioppino's last week and I have to say that I enjoyed Bibo's much more. The food is good at Cioppinos but it is very expensive. Dinner for two at Bibo's could run you about $40.00 to $80.00.
You wait and see. I think that there will be line ups out the door when some reviews come out.

Best Best Best Pizza in Vancouver - The Bibo

This is like eating in Italy. Just went to a brand new restaurant - The Bibo Italian Restaurant at 1835 West 4th Avenue. I don't think I've ever had better pizza. Also had gnocchi with pesto. Light as air.
The pizza maker is from Sicily, told me he has been making pizza since he was 14. I have always found pizza to be barely adequate in Vancouver so I am thrilled to have found this.
This is my new favorite restaurant.

Kitsilano Daily Kitchen - another try in a tough spot

We went with a party of 6 on Thursday night to Kits Daily on 1st Ave. It was one of the best meals I have had in Vancouver. Like Bishops only much cheaper. Great atmosphere, great staff. I have to say at first I was a bit apprehensive due to the prices, but I was really, really impressed with the food. Fresh, everything home made and delicious. A very good selection of wines by the glass. I will be back.

Great Pizza!!!! - Piatzo Restaurant

I do remember. They were not using a brick oven. My favorite pizza's have always been from a brick oven so I have to admit I really did not hold out much hope but I really was impressed. I think that what I find about most pizza I have had in Vancouver is that the crust and sauce are flavourless tasting a bit like cardboard. I did like Lombardo's pizza but I guess not enough to make the drive over from Kits most of the time when I feel like going to eat.
I am not surprised that their website does not look very good. I think the owner is a good pizza cook but not so good with his marketing. The staff were all super nice and I felt that they were trying hard. I also think perhaps that English is not the owners first language.

Great Pizza!!!! - Piatzo Restaurant

We went to go eat at Piatzo Restaurant at 1629 Yew Street in Kits. GREAT PIZZA!!! We have been looking for good pizza in Vancouver for a long time now and this is the best pizza we have tasted. We have eaten at Lombardo's and I think that this is better. Really fresh ingredients. The pizza was thin crusted, you could really taste the sauce and the cheese was great. I had a margharita pizza and my husband had the 4 cheese pizza. Both were great.
