Where did it say in Sweetspot write-up that Diablos is charging $28 for their mac 'n' cheese? $28 is for their Prime Rib.
As far as Grumman 78's prices at Faubourg. I find them a little high, for fairly good food, but nothing outstanding(from what I've tasted so far). Their single tacos run from $4-$7. Eaten 3-4 things from their food truck & been twice to Grumman 78 Faubourg. What's good now at Faubourg is they serve their full menu. The times when I visited their food truck, it's always a very very very limited menu(& they don't make anything on-site), even if I checked their twitter account in advance before going.
Five Guys Burgers - Coming to Montreal !
When you say pre-cooking the patties, this is during non-rush hour? I've also found Brossard Five Guys to be inconsistent with their burgers(sometimes very good, sometimes burgers dry). That's why occasionally I've been critical of Five Guys burgers. But I've only eaten at their Brossard location.
Downtown donuts?
I think the Guy-Concordia location is also called Cocobun now. Only their original Chinatown location is still called Harmonie.
Grumman 78 Food Court @ Faubourg
Normally they're closed Sunday & Mondays(although their opening day was Sunday April 1st).
Any good restaurants in Brossard or nearby?
Just to clarify, I mixed he Afghan market with another establishment in same strip mall(I double-checked recently).
Nathan's Hot Dogs
I'm guessing the person is looking for a store(not a restaurant), as getting it from Orange Julep(for example) is expensive. I'm guessing there might be a store or two in Montreal selling it.
best roti and jerk chicken?
Good, now I've got a chance to finally try their grilled jerk chicken. To be honest, I thought the new Carribean Tasty Treats restaurant also in the West Island might have a connection with the former Spicy Island restaurant, as they also have grilled jerk chicken. Otherwise I don't see it available grilled in Montreal.
The best place for smoked meat
Delibee's for a long time sourced their smoked meat from QSM, until they started making their own.
The best place for smoked meat
I think we need to multiple visits to George's & Delibee to be sure. I honestly was not impressed with Delibee's smoked meat on my last Delibee visit(that was about a year ago). Before that, on my previous visits to Delibee they weren't making their own smoked meat to my knowledge. My last visit to George's Deli was probably around 6 years ago(2 visits close together). And I find Schwartz's smoked meat not always consistently good(even when I asked for it medium-fat).
The best place for smoked meat
Well originally Smoked Meat Pete was getting their smoked meat from QSM(maybe made according to their specs). To my knowledge, Smoked Meat Pete still doesn't make their smoked meat.
The best place for smoked meat
Delibee's has been discussed several times on this board over the years(so it's not a totally obscure place known only to West Islanders). Have you tried George's Deli in Laval for their smoked meat(another of very few delis in Montreal still making their own smoked meat). It's more of a obscure place, that's rarely discussed. Personally I like their smoked meat better than Delibee's(although I haven't been there in a couple of years).
Restaurant Ethan in Chinatown
So their Chinese BBQ meats are very good? The initial feedback I had was their Chinese BBQ meats(that's their main focus) was still a work in progress. That's why I wanted to hold back, before trying any of their foods.
Any good restaurants in Brossard or nearby?
Just heard about them very recently. Their fries apparently also very good.
Delibee's
If you get it cold, it's usually(if not always) cut by machine(even at Schwartz's). Last time I was at Delibee's they told me they make their own smoked meat. Originally this was Smoked Meat Pete's second location until they parted ways(I've even been there when they were still called Smoked Meat Pete).
Any good restaurants in Brossard or nearby?
Thanks. Never eaten at Le Tandoor, but I've actually eaten at Afghan market before.

Is it a franchise location or not? I see one source call this location at 5536A CDN "The new Brit & Chips franchise...."

They already have a location in Toronto & it's doing well(that's according to the owner).
The best place for smoked meat
That's common knowledge, that they're father & son. It's often mentioned in pieces about Smoked Meat Pete.
Any good restaurants in Brossard or nearby?
Wonder what's your recommendations for good restaurants in Brossard or near-by St-Lambert, Greenfield Park?
Opinions on best Thai food?
Finally read the Montreal Mirror & Gazette reviews, both very positive on Galanga. Both reviewers mentioned that it wasn't overly sweet when describing a dish(as opposed to 'chilipepper' where 'Everything had an underlying sweetness'). According to the MM reviewer the Galanga restaurant head chef Kraisak Kuamsub, formerly worked at Thailande restaurant.
Spice Station - Spice Heaven
From checking your pictures inside new location in your original posting & checking Google Maps, the selection & size of store seems to be more or less the same.
tamashi west island
Isn't this restaurant located in Laval(unless they have West island not listed on their website)?
Spice Station - Spice Heaven
If you have been to their Bernard Avenue location. How does this location compare to their original Montreal location? Same selection more or less? Same approx. size store? Was the owner there when you went?
Shrimp
It was probably frozen before(frozen shrimp can also be very good). I've seen Gulf of Mexico frozen shrimp for around $20/lb in Montreal.
Shrimp
Can we buy much fresh shrimps(not previously frozen) in Montreal? Maybe not. What is the best shrimps available in the Montreal-area? From which part of the world, their size, fresh or frozen, farm or wild?
