Restaurant owner Terry Valenti accused of falsifying Iron Chef experience

Okun gave them a decent review, and there were some good reviews on Urbanspoon and elsewhere, and having not eaten there, I wasn't really interested in getting into a discussion about the quality of the food. I think the story has gone way beyond being about a restaurant and a lying cook.

Sausage Gravy with Biscuits in Westchester?

Not Westchester, but close enough, try Sonny Side Up in Danbury.

Yes, we have a car and I saw that Jack's is back towards downtown from the Vanderbilt area. Thanks for the heads-up. The kids are 3 & 9, and they're generally very well behaved, but occasionally are known to melt down. Because we'll have driven 12 hours that day before arriving, I figure the meltdown possibility is a bit higher than usual.

I looked at Jack's, but we have pretty passable BBQ in Buffalo, so if there's something uniquely Nashville (like wings or beef on weck are to Buffalo), I'd love to know about it. I did see "hot chicken", but I don't know if the kids will dig that or not.

Thank you also for the tip re: Fido.

We'll be passing through and want to avoid chains and instead experience a kid-friendly type place that is unique to Nashville. We were thinking Jack's BBQ on Broadway, but would welcome other suggestions. We'll be staying near Vanderbilt campus.

Also, do the lines at Pancake Pantry start up right at opening time, or is there an early bird lull?

Thanks.
