Favorite Quinoa Recipes

cook it like you would normally, adding a little bit of lemon juice when almost finished. in a separate pan, saute red, orange and/or yellow peppers (green tastes funny in this recipe), garlic, and a little bit of fresh bok choy if you have it. mix the contents of the pan into the quinoa, adding some black olives if you like them (i don't.) Once in your serving bowls, crumble some feta over top. Yum.

Help Me Cook for My boyfriend the Health Nut!

anything out of The Thrive Diet by Brendan Brasier. It's my family's food bible, full of nutritious, delicious food. anything that I've made of it has been absolutely delicious, unless it was my fault. Special personal emphasis goes on spicy sunflower-seed burgers with mango chutney and chili-chocolate pancakes with tahini and fresh fruit. (as you may have noted, I love spicy foods.)

how to cook amaranth (the grain)

okay, so I just made amaranth and completely screwed it up. I now have this gloopy, gelatinous mess which tastes all right, if you mix stuff in and forget about the texture. I think maybe if I strain it through cheesecloth when it cools, I can fix it enough to make a decent breakfast porridge, but i was wondering if anyone had any tips.
