Memorial Day weekend in PDX

I'm visiting Portland (my first time!) with my boyfriend from LA for the holiday weekend. We arrive Friday and leave Sunday afternoon, with a room booked at the Nines.

I'm very excited about the PDX food scene and want to make sure to get as many amazing meals as possible. We're meeting my boyfriend's brother, sister-in-law and two kids (10 and 13) for dinner Friday night and then going to dinner with just the four adults on Saturday. I'd love suggestions for a great kid friendly restaurant for Friday (a gastropub or something of the sort) and something a little more upscale for Saturday. Roe, Ava Gene's, Le Pigeon, and Little Bird are already booked (although I can put in a Rezhound for any of those and keep my fingers crossed). No specific budget...we're foodies and don't mind paying for an amazing meal.

I'll also take any recommendations for breakfast/brunch/lunch places walking distance from the Nines.

Thanks for your help!

Nolita restaurants

Thanks for the responses!! I've been to a number of these places, but you definitely gave me quite a few more to try!!

By the way...I'm not a pizza expert, but Forcella had one of the best pizza I've ever had in my life! I'm a believer in the montanara!!

Nolita restaurants

I just moved to the Nolita area and have been trying to get around to some of the great restaurants in the neighborhood. I love Balaboosta, Parm and Torrisi's (of course!) but would love some other suggestions for brunch/dinner from those of you who have eaten your way through the neighborhood.

I'll take NoHo and SoHo suggestions too. Moved from the UES, so it's a new world for me down here!

Restaurant recommendation for group 30th birthday dinner

I'm looking for a downtown Manhattan restaurant with a private/semi-private room for a 30th birthday dinner with around 15 friends. I've looked into Bobo, which has a small private garden area, but am worried about the $65/pp menu (I wish I could afford to pay for all my friends, but living in the city doesn't allow me that much extra spending $$!). I don't need a place with food like EMP, but would like good food, good drinks and fun atmosphere.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
