Charleston Bachelor Party - Thoughts?

72 Hours in Charleston.
With 10 dudes, all in late 20's/early 30's.
In June.

What/where are we drinking, eating, seeing, staying, enjoying, doing whilst hungover?

If you were joining in, what should we be sure not to miss? All posts welcome!

Albuquerque: 72 hours in

There's some antiquated posts, so thought to start a 2014 discussion:

You've got 3 days in ABQ, what are you eating, drinking, seeing, enjoying?

Pay it forward. Thank you.

Boyfriend's Birthday Dinner - Gotham, Bouley, Mas Farmhouse

Obviously, you're fine with any of these choices; all three are refined, elegant choices (even if Mas Farmhouse may like to think it's pulling off the rustic chic vibe, it's still errs more to chic than rustic). So that said, and considering your budget, would definitely recommend Mas (frankly, the budget thing really wouldn't matter; either way I'd recommend Mas).

Bachelor Party in Louisville - Thoughts?

So, some buddies of mine are planning a Bourbon/BBQ-centric bachelor party for me this coming June 2012 in Louisville.

We're from the east coast and don't know a ton about KY, and while we've done some research on the Bourbon Trail, curious what other thoughts you all may have for places to hit, things to taste and do?

Any thoughts/guidance would be much appreciated!

Rehearsal Dinner Spot in Lenox, Ma?

Thanks all - feel free to keep the ideas coming (I know there's a finite number though). We're not doing this till next September (2012) so feel free to check back in if something comes to mind or there's new experiences to share!

Rehearsal Dinner Spot in Lenox, Ma?

I know that Lenox isn't in/near Boston (I'm from the North Shore originally) but I figured my fellow Bostonians may be able to help, regardless.

I saw a previous post on this topic from '09 but thought to revisit and update it - I'm getting married out there and could use any/all rehearsal dinner ideas/locales. My fiance and I love food so something that's a surefire winner would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Food Porn: Lincoln

a) boring meaning food or environs or both?

b) you're right, it's always going to be hard to justify $120/pp for Italian (I guess) BUT you can easily escape Lincoln having spent (if, say, you went with just an antipasti and a secondi) $50-$65/pp (that's without booze).

Food Porn: Lincoln

Link below takes you to some some super close-ups of this evening’s offerings at Lincoln, Jonathan Benno’s highly anticipated new restaurant that opened this very evening. The food was, as you’ll see, beautiful, and pricing was comparable to other high end spots throughout the city (the previous approximations of $120/pp are about right). I will say though that the menu is much more versatile than the Italian category can sometimes permit – and the thought that this spot is meant to compete directly with Marea is, in my opinion, askew.

One night in San Francisco: Gary Danko or Chez Panisse?

Thank you to everyone who has replied and made some great suggestions.

Clearly, the choice has been made for Coi...however, one small snafu: this lone night I have available in SF is a Monday and, alas, Coi (somehow??) is CLOSED on Mondays.

Sadness.

Two Nights in Napa: One at French Laundry the other at....???

Title pretty much says it all.

I've miraculously secured dinner on our first night in Napa at The French Laundry - which was my main focus - and now I'm left to wonder where my girlfriend and I should eat on night number two. I've scoured Michelin et al., and come away with an extensive list but am curious if you all have a "must dine" recommendation?

Thank you for your thoughts!

One night in San Francisco: Gary Danko or Chez Panisse?

It's sad but with a packed schedule, including heading up to Napa and then back down the coast to LA, my girlfriend and I only managed one full day and, thus, one night in San Francisco.

Consequently we have a bit of a dilemma on our hands: eat at Gary Danko or Chez Panisse?

I'm much more of the stylish one, looking to be impressed/wowed (and so am pulling for G.D), while she's very interested in the all natural, locavore approach and all things California (so pulling for C.P.).

So, what should we do? Appreciate any insights. Thanks
