I have purchased black cod at Whole Foods and at Newman's Fish Market in NW (City Market on 21st). You might also try Pacific Seafood on SE Powell - they are only open during the day Mon-Fri.

EaT: An Oyster Bar on N Williams for fresh raw oysters and delicious oyster po'boys. Also the fried dill pickles are the best.

Hello - my husband and I will be visiting friends in Buffalo in June and will be taking a one day/night trip to Toronto. We have never been and know little about your city. Where should a visitor eat if they only have one night? we will probably be staying at a hotel downtown and are looking for something affordable but authentic & real.
Also - is there a better neighborhood other than downtown in which to stay?
