Romantic Anniversary Dinner Suggestions – Ventura

I am planning a surprise wedding anniversary weekend in Ventura because it is a special place for us; we spent the first night of our honeymoon there 20 years ago. Since then we have had the opportunity to travel quite a bit and have enjoyed everything from $.99 shrimp cocktails at State Line, to Oysters at Acme House in New Orleans, to prefix menus at tie and jacket venues in Europe. Our tastes are varied and we are always looking for something we haven’t tried before.

I am hoping to find the perfect place with a romantic atmosphere to provide the backdrop for a very special anniversary gift. The budget is out the window for a special occasion like this, but if the most romantic spot in town is more casual than elegant, then that is o.k. by me.
