Seafood and Italian - affordable recommendations?
I guess I should clarify that no reservations is ok - it's just me and I'd probably be walking over anyway. With Giacomo's, I loved the food, but not so much the waiter asking me to get up so that they could get by me several times and staring me down for my table. It's understandable given how small the place is and how crowded, just not very enjoyable.
Seafood and Italian - affordable recommendations?
Thanks! Any chance you have recommendations for somewhere open around lunch time? My flight is around 8pm on Saturday and I know Ill have more time during the day. So far the only recommendation I have from people I know is the Daily Catch, which doesnt seem to have the best reviews on here, and seems like it might be kind of touristy.
Also, places that are just seafood or just italian work fine too - I just want some ideas for places that have great food that I should check out while I am there.

Seafood and Italian - affordable recommendations?
I come to Boston once or twice a year. I've been vegetarian for about 10 years, but last year started eating seafood. I also love italian. I had a great experience at Giacomo's in terms of the food, though the crowd and being so small kind of got to me. I did look on the boards but havent seen any threads that seem to fit what I am thinking of.
Would love to try some other restaurants and am looking for recommendations, especially since I know there is a lot of local seafood in the area and having not eaten it in 10 years, Im still learning what is good.
Things I'm looking for:
1. Great food, but relaxed atmosphere
2. Affordable - I'd say $12-24 range, I might go a little higher but not much.
3. Seafood and/or italian recommendations - I'm thinking somewhere with good red sauce, or in terms of seafood, I prefer broiled or steamed, not somewhere that fries everything, and I prefer shellfish (anything except raw oysters).
4. Something I can either walk or metro to - Im staying near Boston Common
5. Something with local specialties would be nice
6. Reservations, or at least something a little more organized than Giacomo's, is preferred. Im there for a meeting, and my free time is going to be a Friday evening and all of Saturday until about 6pm, so I dont want to seek a place out but not be able to actually go because of time constraints.
Thanks!
