My wife and I will be visiting San Francisco for the first time in May and she mentioned to me that she wants to eat crab. From what I've read, May is still technically crab season, but it looks like they will probably be in short supply. Is that right? Where would be the best place to find them if they are available? We are obviously looking for a restaurant since we will be staying in a hotel. We are staying in the Marriott downtown and don't mind riding public transportation to get somewhere, but we won't have a car. I've read that the salt and pepper crab is good at R&G, would that be the best bet? Also, I know it's priced per the market, but what would you guess the price range would be at a nice, but not upscale restaurant?
