Cool Local Weekend Eating & Drinking for First Time Visitors?

My boyfriend and I are planning a first visit to Montreal from Brooklyn over a long weekend, and are hoping to find good local joints for everything from breakfast to late night bars.

Budget cheap to moderate. Sticking to Old Montreal and the Plateau. He's vegetarian, I'll eat anything. We drink a lot, at both dives and fancy cocktail bars. Love poutine, crepes. Seeking cool, delicious, unpretentious vibes. Any recommendations for brunch / lunch / dinner / bars are all appreciated!

Also looking for hip local Montreal blogs or guides! I know I'm leaning heavily on the call for "cool" places, but a cursory search into Montreal's nightlife just brings up like, jazz bars, and we're hoping to find something younger and louder and cuter and dirtier..

Thanks!

Brooklyn restaurant to bring visiting parents + vegetarians + boyfriend?

My vegetarian brother-in-law, vegetarian boyfriend, grumpy father, sorta-deaf teetotaling mother, and easygoing omnivorous sister and self are planning a big dinner out later this month in Brooklyn. Past good calls with various combinations of all those people have been at Vinegar Hill House, Roberta's, and Farm. Any ideas for places that offer interesting veggie options, decent wine list, has character but isn't formal, at a moderate volume, for 6 diners? Manhattan's fine, too. Thanks!

Indian Delivery in Windsor Terrace?

Hey, I just moved to Windsor Terrace (off the Ft. Hamilton Pkwy subway stop) and am craving Indian food delivery. Doesn't have to be mindblowing, just want an alternative to greasy Madina on Coney Island Ave. I'd really appreciate any suggestions!
