Casual Dinner San Fernando Valley
I am arranging a dinner for 8 in the vicinity of Woodland Hills. Although some of the party are locals they seem only to suggest chain "eateries"...yuck!! Any suggestions for a great fun dinner. Any cuisine but japanese/korean and we have one fish eating vegetarian among us.

The saturday am market in Hastings ( library parking lot) is great and Wed afternoon/evening ( 4:30-8) in Irvington ( Main Street School parking lot) a smaller version but many of the same vendors. Also great and closer to you. Welcome to the area!!
Central Long Island and the North Fork

I am traveling from NY to CO along I 70. Will be spending one night in Burlington near the KS boarder. Any suggestions for breakfast in that area or lunch @ 5 hours closer to Telluride ( Salida?) would be welcome. Favorite coffee shops as well.
