So only people with discriminating palates are allowed to be on this site? I thought this site was for people who enjoy food, no matter where it is cooked.

Chowtastic Recs for Tarzana/Reseda

Yang Chow on Topanga across from the Woodland Hills Mall is always good. The slippery shrimp, and sizzling rice soup are favorites.

Best Cheap Sushi in Downtown?

Tenno Sushi in Little Tokyo. They have a number of rolls and sushi for "half-price". I had a very good yellowtail roll and spicy scallop roll there last week.

HELP! Need suggestions about restaurants at Staple Center DOWNTOWN...

I completely agree. We went to LA Market on X-mas eve and had a wonderful experience. The edamame, and tuna dynamite are wonderful as appetizers. Our server was very knowledgeable and patient with us. I highly recommend.

Real Fish and Chips

I second this. Robin Hood has the best fish & chips. That crust is fantastic.

Water Grill

I last went on a weekday for a business lunch. We arrived around 1:30 and had a leisurely lunch. Everything was fantastic. I don't remember the final bill, but there was 6 of us, so it wasn't small. I highly recommend a lunch visit.

Brining my turkey..

This is a very good brining recipe from Russ Parsons. I've done this for 3 years now and my family loves the turkey. It's not salty as the salt is gone by Thanksgiving and it's just moist turkey.

Bringing food into Dodger Stadium?

My husband and I ALWAYS bring our own food. Usually we go to Subway and get sandwiches and chips, and maybe cookies. We bring our own water and make sure the lid is on very tight. Put all your food into a plastic bag so the security guards can check it. The most you'll get from them is a joke that they'll have to take your dinner away, but it's just a joke. We love it because it seems to be the only place you can bring your own food anymore. And people always marvel at how much better our dinner looks than what is served at the stadium. The food is too expensive there anyway.

Sub's in or very close to Northridge

My Dad used to love Giamela's in Northridge. I haven't been there in years so I can't vouch for it now. Anyone?

Time For A Change

I have been to KP, although not in a very long time. Yang Chow makes a Slippery Shrimp that is so very yummy. We also enjoy their Sizzling Rice Soup and Moo Shu. It is a bit more of a drive, but we live in Lake Balboa and go there all the time.

If it's the Rattler's I'm thinking of:

The first time I went there, it was wonderful. The last time, it was less so.
