Looking for cool, funky, fun eats in Glasgow

The Drygate is your best bet for craft beer as it is collaborative brewery and bar. The Raven craft bar is just round the corner from your hotel on Renfield St between the burger streets of W. Regent and St. Vincent. Finniston and Byres Rd are your best bet for college/artsy. Best review of Indian food is in cheap and authentic. Merchant City fish and chips is good and varied, and you can't beat Rogano for seafood, not cheap.

Aberdeen Recs?

The Grill Bar on Union St. traditional Art Deco Bar, and the Prince of Wales off Union St were pretty good bars. Decent beer and food in the Prince of Wales. The Ashvale has the best fish and chips in the area. I would agree with the previous post about the Indian places.

Coming from Toronto to Edinburgh and London for a week - Not looking for grand dinners, but more unique treats I won't find at home

If you do go to Ian Mellis' and Oink on the West Bow in Edinburgh, you have to check out the Bow Bar. Brilliant Scottish bar, Perfect for a pie and a pint and 240+ Drams in stock

Brick Lane (London) Indian Restaurants

The only good food on Brick Lane is the 24 hour Beigel Bake. Goood but not what you are looking for. Go with the Bangla or try Needoo.

2 weeks in the UK, looking for cheap eats and 1 splurge in Bath, Oban, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and London

Oban try the place on the pier for seafood. Aberdeen try the Silver Darlings, good but not cheap. For good and reasonable price , check out the Ashvale. Aberdeen is expensive and generally not very good. If you are in town on Sunday go to Howie's.

Looking for some "challenging" suggestions...

I've always found if going to eat at somewhere new dress up you can always become more casual not the other way round. Ditch even "smart" jeans if you think that you might not be uncomfortable. Even the best food in the best place will be like dust in your mouth if you feel like a rube.
