ISO: Du Puy Lentils - French Green Lentils
I haven't looked there myself, but have you tried Wegman's? There's a branch in Cherry Hill as well as one in Mt. Laurel. It might be wise to call first.
hot pepper vinegar?
Exactly what we did, when I was growing up in Savannah, except for the lemonade bottles which must be local to you. The vinegar is especially good on cooked greens, to my mind, but it's also a must with tiny butter beans and southern-type peas like crowders or purple hulls. I wish the peas were easy to find in NJ, but no such luck.
hot pepper vinegar?
I prefer cider vinegar to distilled white vinegar because I don't like the taste of the distilled type. Use a glass jar that is very clean, and heat the vinegar with a bit of non-iodized salt. Pack the jar with peppers and pour over the hot vinegar. After a few weeks, they'll be ready for eating, or you could simply use the vinegar if you prefer.
If you have enough peppers, it's well worth doing a special jar with Sherry vinegar. That is a real treat and makes a great gift, too.
Tritan wine glasses?
We've had six of the Forte since April, and have already managed to break one by dropping it on a padded vinyl floor. I was disappointed, but they are beautiful, and certainly sturdier than the average crystal.
Armenian String Cheese
The black seeds are nigella seeds and are used in Indian and some Middle-Eastern countries.
My son loved it when he was small, and there was no Polly-O. I'm grateful that we had the real stuff, and you're lucky to have found it. The texture is moist and it even strings differently from the supermarket brands.
As for recipes, I couldn't say, since we always ate it plain, but if no one replies, you could always google.
I'd imagine you could melt in on vegetables and use it in many applications where mozzarella or another mild cheese would be used. That said, something more adventerous would be nice. Good luck, and enjoy!
parve mashed potatoes
Chicken stock isn't parve, but would be fine to use with a meat meal.
parve mashed potatoes
It may seem odd, but I find potato water instead of other subs, really brings out the flavor of the potatoes. I use Yukon Gold potatoes, potato water, and Spectrum Spread, which is butter flavored and parve. A handful of chives at the end and the potatoes are delicious. If you don't want to use a butter substitute, I'd go with olvie oil.
I now see that you needed this recipe for Rosh Hashanah and it's too late for this year. Hope your potatoes were delicious.
Adding 'savory' to an IBS diet-tips?
Sorry, Candy, I obviously meant to reply to Toodie Jane.
Adding 'savory' to an IBS diet-tips?
It's possible that Adrianscaravan.com may have hing. I'm having some computer troube and was unable to pull up the site. Be forewarned...hing has a really pungent odor, but is quite lovely when cooked.

I wonder if you could use asetfedita as a seasoning for some of this awful sounding bland food? It's commonly available at Indian groceries under the name hing. An acquaintance is sensitive to any alliums, and is able to use hing, which flavors food in a splendid way.
Perhaps this diet isn't helpful, anyway. Maybe a new physician or a second opinion is in order. Best of luck to you and your husband.
Onions in pantyhose, Vidalia chocolate cake & other tips
Well, you surely want the pantyhose to be *clean*, but new isn't necessary, and the method does work. My father used to send me a fifty pound case of Vidalias before they were well known outside of a small area of Georgia. After sharing many with friends and neighbors, I hung them in pantyhose in our garage where they lasted quite well.
The UPS guy was somewhat befuddled when he delivered them. He asked if they were oranges and was stunned to learn they were onions.
