Italian Kitchen - NYT Review [Ardsley] Thought the NYT review undersold the restaurant in terms of food and missed some of the best things on the menu. While I have only eaten there twice, I think the meatball starter with polenta and the scallops entree are two of the best dishes on the menu and not even mentioned. The octopus dishes (appetizer and pasta) were also very good and are apparently some of the chef's favorites. I agree that the front room is a little cramped, but the acoustics are better so you can have a conversation. The back room is more spacious, but a little louder as well. Service has been uneven both times I've been, but it's definitely on my list of regular places in Westchester now and give it a "Definitely Worth It" since a "Worth It" from the NYT seems to be a large range. No clue why she thinks its "geared to guys" (or what's that supposed to mean) especially given the majority of the women in the front room pictured in the times. |

Churrascaria Copacabana opinions Copacabana is worth it. The salad bar area is relatively small to other places I have been to (especially the pure salad part which really only consists of a few vegetables, some cheeses and some lettuce). Also on the salad bar are peel and eat shrimp, Sushi rolls (mostly americanized) and some prepared dishes (none of which I was particularly interested in nor do I remember well but I think it was a couple Italian and Greek dishes). On the other hand, the Rodizio -- the main event -- is very satisfying and the quality of the meat is high. The service is good and very satisfying and they bring around the meats at request and a display of desserts (which we're always too stuffed for). My kids really enjoyed it and ask to go back from time to time. One note though is you may want to confirm the kid's price. I've been charged everything from $1.50 less for the kids to substantially less than the adult price. |

Jade Spoon on Scarsdale/New Rochelle border I like the food for what it is. Agree on the Sevon Woks point except for those who are interested, they chose not to have any pork at all in the place which I found strange for a chinese restaurant. I'm a fan of their seafood egg drop soup (egg white only) and the chicken wontons in chili sauce (which are fried, but you can order steamed). |

New Rochelle / Wykagyl Area Delivery Options A new restaurant called "Jade Spoon" opened on Weaver Street on the New Rochelle/Scarsdale border and they say they deliver. Have not tried it yet. |

Something new at 200 Park / Met Life? Walked by 200 Park Avenue on Vanderbilt today (b/w 44th and 43rd) and saw something that looked new. No signs on the outside, full bar and racks of wine, but orange chairs looking they're from a 70s cafeteria. Anyone know what's opening there? |

New Japanese in Mamaroneck...and Haiku! Pretty sure that Red Plum is the place being opened by the owner of Toyo. It is going to be a Sake Bar and will sport a different menu with different types of dishes. Emphasis will be Japanese cuisine, but different preparations than the one available at Toyo, and for an adult crowd rather the more family oriented Toyo. |

I still dream about the Dover Sole I had at BLT Fish in Union Square. Was one of the best pieces of fish I ever had (and probably most expensive as well). |

Saturday Night : Help For Dinner For One Going to be alone in Manhattan tomorrow night and looking for recommendations of a suberb meal that I can sit at a bar (rather than alone at a table) and enjoy the food and the atmosphere. I was thinking along the lines of Babbo (not sure if I can get a seat at the bar on a Saturday night, but willing to wait). Any other recommendations would be appreciated. |
