Cuisinart Food Processor Problem...

My Cuisinart Elite 14 Cup Food Processor just broke. The sheath (shaft) on top of the motor base split in two. Does anyone know if this part is fixable? Has this problem happened to you? It is past warranty. Thanks!

Where can I find Pastene Balsamic Vinegar in Toronto?

Hi -
I was wondering if anyone knew where to find Pastene Balsamic Vinegar in the GTA? It used to be at Highland Farms, but they don't carry it anymore. Thanks!

Where to find Pasabahce drinking glasses in Toronto?

Hi, I am looking to find Pasabahce brand drinking glasses in Toronto. They were sold as President's Choice glasses a few years back and I want to replace them. Some of them have the word Pasabahce on the bottom, others just the letter P. They were the most durable everyday glassware that I have encountered. Or, what are some other durable brands? Thanks!

Has anyone tried Cook's brand? (cooksvanilla.com)
Thinking of ordering from there, but there must be something comparable in Toronto. Suggestions?

Spice Grinder - which is best?

I recently purchased some spices and a mortar and pestle. Some of the spice blends require a spice grinder. From what I understand, most of the coffee/spice grinders get poor reviews. Out of frustration, I've even tried a hammer! Which is best for less cost for home use? (i.e. under $50).

Which rolling pin do you use?

I used to have a wooden rolling pin with handles and had no problem with it. I recently replaced it due to age.

I tried a non-stick silicone one, but found it to be terrible (everything stuck). Then I bought another maple wooden one, but this one got mold on the ends (no handles) after less than a month, despite drying it very well each time. Both were from Williams Sonoma.

Now I'm considering marble, but it seems kind of heavy.

Which type of rolling pin do you use? Brand? Why is it good?

Looking for an upscale restaurant to take my family out for dinner that will satisfy 2 vegans, 1 vegetarian and 1 meat eater! Our current favourites include: Nazareth, Fressen, Rancho Relaxo, Amore and Tabule. Anywhere in the GTA or Toronto is fine. Suggestions?

Bulk Barn's Stone Ground Whole Wheat Flour

I have developed many successful recipes (from breads to cookies) using Bulk Barn's stone ground whole wheat flour (code 307). You could actually see flecks of bran in the flour. About 2 weeks ago, I noticed that although the label says stone ground flour (code 307) it seemed to cake together and looked very pale. It is definitely not the same quality product and is giving my recipes inferior results. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
