Totally agreed Phyllis, they were also called yes yes cookies. The interior was like a soft honeycomb texture

CHOW Bagel

If they were to salty for some, they may have been using table salt. Kosher salt is not as salty and sea salt even less so

CHOW Bagel

I also added a little extra malt syrup which I purchased at a health food store. I also let them rise longer than the amount of time it stated, it make for a lighter bagel. I also dipped the bagel in the egg wash before coated with the seeds and they stuck way better. Be careful how much you dunk as a few had way to much topping on them

CHOW Bagel

I am a bagel expert and these are the first time I have made them. And they compare or are better than the best bagel I have ever purchased, even my son said so. Amazing recipe...Crispy outside and chewy inside. Now how about a cinnamon raisin recipe and whole wheat. That would be great. This recipe is already in my I am going to make a double batch recipe book

Fudgetown Cookies - Help!

WELL ADD ME TO THE LIST. THESE WERE ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES. AS I AM FROM NJ WE USED TO GO TO THE BURRY COMPANY IN ELIZABETH AND GET THEM BY THE BOX, MUST BE 20 YEARS AGO. WHEN BURRY CLOSED SALERNO BOUGHT THE COMPANY AND THEY MADE THEM ALONG WITH THE SCOOTER PIES, WHICH SHRUNK DOWN TO THE SIZE OF A BIGGER OREO. AS A KID I USED TO POP OUT THE CHOCOLATE MIDDLE WITH MY FINGER.
KINGS SUPER MARKET DOES SELL THE DARE COOKIES I INVESTIGATED AND THEY ARE OK, NOT THE SAME BY A LONG SHOT AND A LITTLE TO FUDGY. FUDGETOWNS WERE A LIGHTER CHOCOLATE.
ALL THE OLD TIME FAVORITES SHOULD BE BROUGHT BACK BY SOMEONE AS THERE IS A HUGE CALLING FOR OUR FAVORITES FROM WHEN WE WERE KIDS. THEY JUST CAME BACK OUT WITH BONOMO TURKISH TAFFY. WHOO HOOOO I LOVED THEM WE WOULD FREEZE THEM THEN SMACK THEM ON THE GROUND INTO A MILLION PIECES AND IT WOULD LAST US ALL DAY. OLD TIME CANDIES COMPAY SELLS THEM NOW. A MAN INVESTIGATED WHYAT HAPPENED TO THE TAFFY, TRACKED DOWN THE OLD COMPANY, THE ORIGINAL RECIPE AND EVEN DUPLICATED THE SAME MACHINES THAT MADE THE, RIGHT DOWN TO THE FOIL WRAP.
NOW IF SOMEONE WOULD RE MAKE MY TRUE ALL TIME FAVORITE WHICH WAS YUM YUM/ YES YES COOKIES I WOULD BE IN HEAVEN. THEY STOPPED MAKING THEM AT LEAST 20 YEARS AGO. ANOTHER GREAT COOKIE WAS MARSHMALLOW SANDWICHES

Fudgetown Cookies - Help!

I thought the keebler fudge were the closest to the original fudgetown, but they all of a sudden stopped making them here. The thing about the real fudgetown was we would poke the chocolate out of the hole in the middle

Yum-Yum Cookies -- Does Anyone Remember?

these were my all time favorite cookie, they were yes yes and then yum yum, or visa versa. I also called the company but no luck. The samoas are the closest, but this year they are lousy. The real one had like a very chewy honeycomb texture
