Near the Nippori Train Station, east exit, across the street on the corner is a noodle shop. There is a guy pulling noodles in the window. They speak NO English there and we speak NO Japanese, but they welcomed us anyway. It is a little dive with the waitress yelling the orders to the cook. Without a shadow of a doubt, the best plate of noodles I have ever had. It was a mix of veg, a couple of shrimp, bit of ham in a light soy and stock base. Just wait until you see it and point. |

Yes,I agree about the Pinot and we will be having it to go with the beef tenderloin as well, but I feel somewhat obliged to have a white available too. Thanks. |

I am making a salmon with a cream cheese/dill/lemon spread for a large party. Can anyone suggest a nice white wine for it? So far, I am not happy with chardonnay or pinot grigio. Price point, about $10 a bottle, and I will need about a case, so it needs to be readily available. |
