any fresh noodle dish with broth and some type of meat.(pho, ramen)

Good quality bourbon, straight. or a nice simple Hieneken

have access to cheap suckling pigs raised locally

bo ssam, straight out of the Momofuku book. So simple and delicious
My favorite comfort food:
This is a hard one: Simple roast chicken, or meat loaf with grits and gravy. (liver & onions and braised pork shoulder will always have a spot in this catagory as well).

Pho Vietnam, Bouchon, Troys Burgers, Corti Bros Deli, El Taco.
