Butcher's Son on Yonge

I also had a very good experience. I picked up a strip loin and a boneless chicken breast. Both were excellent and I'll be visiting again.

Yonge Seafood Gourmet

Yeah, I just went this morning. I heard about it through this earlier post:

http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/791774

I picked up some crab cakes and a sea bream fillet (which Ian, one of the owners, did in store for me).

The owners were friendly and helpful. They have a website now:
http://www.yongeseafood.ca/ which is still a work in progress.

Besides fish they all have fish-related products, like sauces, breading, shrimp chips, and other groceries.

Address again is 2044 Yonge St.

Check it out!

Good news for Yonge and Eglinton--Bulldog Coffee

That is good news. Hopefully it lasts, that location hasn't been very successful for other restaurants. A Tim Hortons was there before Cafe Supreme tanked.

Best nachos around Yonge and Eglinton?

And by Bayview, you mean Mt. Pleasant :-) But yeah, excellent beer and decent nachos. The best nachos? I don't know.

Sandwiches near Queen and Bay

Thanks for the suggestions. I will give them all a try.

Sandwiches near Queen and Bay

Hi there, long time reader, first time poster.

I use to work over near Queen and Broadview and would enjoy eating the sandwiches and salads from Loic Gourmet. I've recently been transferred to the Queen and Bay area and I'm looking for a decent take-out sandwich place. It would have to be within a 5-10 minute walk of Queen and Bay. Price isn't a huge concern, I'm just looking for quality ingredients and good food.

Thanks everyone for their suggestions!
