Budget Induction range : Samsung or GE?

Hi,
We are looking into getting a budget induction range. The two that have good reviews and are closer in price are Samsumg for ~$1770 (http://theinductionsite.com/buy-induc...) and GE for ~$2079 (http://theinductionsite.com/buy-induc...).
GE has 5 burners (but probably only 4 are useful) and main complaint with Samsung's is the layout of 4 burners making 1 useless. We don't cook too much food at once, so that's not that big of a concern.

From what I can tell, GE has been making induction cooktops [and appliances in general] for much longer than Samsung [both induction ranges are ~1 year old], so I'm wondering if it is worth spending $300 extra to go with the GE range? Since induction ranges are new, we'll be getting 5-yr extended warranty, but hopefully they'll last much longer.

Thanks!

Bialetti? Aeropress?

Aeropress is great...simple, cheap and light.

Software/Website for trying out different color combinations for kitchen remodeling ?

Hi,
We would like to do kitchen remodeling (new stainless-steel appliances, granite counter-tops and new backsplash). Appliances will be stainless-steel, but we are still not sure what color to pick for granite (definitely some shade of gray or black) and backsplash. Is there an easy way to just see what different settings will look like? I found some simple images on GE.com, but they were very limited. Should we be using Google Sketchup / Autocad? It would be nice if you could just upload a photo of the kitchen and software can detect boundries and help you easily replace colors (we tried doing this in Photoshop and it looked ugly and lot of work, but again, we are not very good at Photoshop). Thanks in advance!

Wall-mount range hoods for Samsung induction range (FTQ307NWGX)

I'm thinking of getting the Samsung induction range (FTQ307NWGX) - http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/ap... and would like to also get a wall-mount range hood (hopefully in $400-$650 range). Does anyone know which range hoods will look the same color and shade? Even though the range is stainless-steel, I'm not sure if there are different shades of it that may throw it off. No store in the area carries the range, but I'll to look around. Also, thinking of getting it from big-georges (http://www.big-georges.com/FTQ307NWGX...) as they have good reviews and decent price....[from what I can tell, appliancesconnection.com and homeeverything.com are not to be trusted]. Thanks in advance!
