Fund Raising - gourmet dinners at home

Thanks. I've done four myself and it does appear to depend on the charity or group it is supporting as to how it turns out. We've seen 2,500 to 3,000 at the low end and 16,000 at the top end. Have you had better luck with a particular theme or cuisine? Any unique ideas that have seemed to be more attractive?

We have one coming up and I'm try to find something that would be particularly appealing to a relatively well-healed group.

Fund Raising - gourmet dinners at home

I've been involved in a few fund raising projects which involved a chef, either professional- or hobby- donating their time and efforts to preparing a meal in someone's home. I'm interested in experiences that anyone may have had, either as the chef or an attendee and how the function turned out. In addition, I would be interested in how much was raised/paid for the meal, how many where served, what was served, etc.

Any tips/recommendations/ideas would be helpful.

Mougins, Le-Baux and Cote Chalonnaise recommendations

'Had a fabulous lunch Le Moulin about 8 years ago. I was under the impression that things had suffered over the last few years. Nice to hear they have a new chef.

We should be pretty safe. It will be the first three weeks of September.

Thanks. We'll try both. I know that the wife has a shopping trip into Biot planned already.

Mougins, Le-Baux and Cote Chalonnaise recommendations

Travelling late summer to these three locations. Have been in each before but we're looking for recommendations for lunch and dinner in each area. Budget is not an issue, but we are looking for unique food/wine experiences, not necessarily Michelin stars.

In Le Baux we have experienced Oustau de Baumaniere (extraordinary) and La Benvengudo.

In Burgundy we are staying in Mellecy and we're willing to travel 75 km or more for a great meal or experience. At Le comptoir des Tontons in Beaune we had a great lunch and will be returning.

It's been several years since we visited the Cannes, Mougins area and have no recollection of anywhere in particular that we visited.

Any help in any or all of these areas would be appreciated.
