Dinner for 1 in Denver

I have one night for dinner in Denver. Will be by myself. Any recommendations where I can get some good food, preferably sitting at the bar, preferably accompanied by a solid local beer list?

I was thinking about Colt and Gray.

Thanks.

How does Fairway coffee compare?

hello,

For my birthday, I received a burr girder and Chemex pot and am now looking forward to "stepping up" the quality of my at home coffee consumption. But now my question is: do I need to be buying better beans?

I usually buy my beans at Fairway and I buy them ground. I feel like buying whole and grinding fresh will be a big improvement, but I'm curious for feedback from the coffee geeks here: how does Faiway's beans compare with the Stumptowns/Counter Cultures/etc etc?

Thanks!

baking classes

This might be a little off topic for this board, but I thought this group would have some good ideas.

What's a good place for one day baking classes? It's for a gift. I'm pretty flexible on what type of class - pastry, cookies, general interest, etc - as long as it's not cupcake specific. :)

Thanks!

Steak dinner for a (steak-y) group of guys

That's a fair question and I guess I don't really have an answer other than to say I wouldn't mind something cheaper. I think of Keens as high end, not mid range, by way of example.

Steak dinner for a (steak-y) group of guys

Can anyone recommend a steakhouse for a group of 12-15 guys? Yes, it's a bachelor party thing. No, we don't want to go to Roberts.

Ideal place would be:
-in Manhattan
-Mid-range in terms of price. For this group, I'm willing to sacrifice some quality for a little bit better price.
-Ideally have a private room for a group this size.

That's pretty much it. Your thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks!

Thai-Vietnamese for 10-12 on West Side

Hello,

I'm looking for a place to have a casual birthday dinner for 10-12 people. I'd love cheap and delicious ethnic food, preferably Thai or Vietnamese. Also preferably on the West Side - upper, lower doesn't matter, just looking for something easily accessibly by the A train.

A private or semi-private room would be great, but isn't necessary.

Thanks!

-Nate

any good places near united palace theatre on 175th and bway?

It's further up - at 207th and B'Way, but Pipers Kilt is a solid irish pub with a burger that is way above average.

Nice dinner - with great ice cream at the end?

The wife and i have a tradition of having ice cream sundaes on our anniversary (We had them at our wedding in lieu of cake). I'm looking for a nice place for dinner that happens to have a good ice cream dish for dessert (doesn't have to be a sundae).

The rest of the meal is a higher priority than the ice cream, so we're looking for a very good high end place to eat a celebratory meal - that happens to have a good ice cream dessert.

Thanks.
