Michelle - i am so glad Gracie and the Dudes is returning. By far the best ice cream in the area. My wife and I are Sea Britghtonians and we walk (or drive) down all the time. Sea Bright pizza is delicious. There eggplant pie is out of this world good. On that note I hope all of Sea Bright returns to normal soon!

Yumi offers delicious sushi. Sea Bright Pizza has really good pizza. Ama (previously in Atlantic Highlands) is coming to the Driftwood slated to open in Aug/Sept.

Went back to Yumi this past Saturday night and it was outstanding once again. Never a bad meal. As long as they keep up the same quality they will always get my vote as best.

Heading to the Shawnee mountain area in January for my mothers 60th birthday celebration. We would love to take her out to a nice restaurant in the area. Does anyone have any recommendations? Ive been finding a lot of bar and grills and steakhouses. We are staying roughly 10 min from Shawnee and 30 min from Camelback. Never been to the area so we are not sure what to expect. Heading down to Key West in a few weeks and our vacations typically are planned around eating. I know i need to try the Key Lime pie, and conch, and hogfish, but where should i try these and where else should we go? We know of the popular touristy places, but we love food and those places usually are not too good. Oh and we would love some authentic cuban food. Any recommendations?

Rode the bike down to the town of Sea Bright last night and noticed Harry's has a new paint job. Anyone know if anything has changed? I browsed the menu that was on the window and prices were $30+ for entrees which seems very steep. Does the cost reflect the cuisine?

Never thought of it that way. I may adopt the same way of thinking when it comes to my money.

Here are my top choices for each course (ive been there multiple times)

Appetizer - Mussels. they are out of this world
Pasta- Rigatoni unless they have the Bolognese special
Entree - Scallops or NY Strip

I know they do have an ATM in the actual restaurant. I had to use it once, fee was I think $2.50 which is pretty standard.

I do agree the cash only policy is an annoyance, however the food is outstanding and it deserves more recognition based solely on that.

Also, one good thing about cash only is that people (myself) will not spend beyond what they have by simply charging the dinner. I do see how this would have a negative effect on the business at a cash only place though.

Jimmy's Italian Restaurant in Asbury Park won Best Italian. Has anyone ever been?

I voted for Ama Ristorante in Atlantic Highlands. I am surprised it doesn't get more recognition.

Julian Pie Company has the best apple pie outside of Washington State! Moms is a close second.

Went for lunch here. The burger was good and the service was horrific. Its a new place with young teens serving so bad service is understandable. Ill give it a try again.

GRAYDON - I am a big fan of Trader Joes and I am due for a trip. We usually come to Westfiled on Sundays just for Trader Joes visits. This time we are going to try some lunch in town instead of going to TJ's then jetting home.

SAWA in Pier Village is great bc of the location. The food is not as good as Kanji, however Kanji is in a strip mall in Tinton Falls. I figured with your request to impress, Pier Village is a lot more appealing then a strip mall. On the other and if impressing with food rather then location is what you are looking for, my vote is for Kanji.
