Success! I called at about 11 a.m. Paris time this morning and was able to get a lunch reservation.

I tried on Wednesday and Thursday, once at 6:15 Paris time and once at 6:30 Paris time and got the answering machine both times. Sigh.

Thank you -- that will help a lot, especially the later time which means I won't have to get up in the middle of the night again to make the call :) I may be too late to snare a late April lunch but I'll post an update after I find you.

I'm two months out from a Paris trip and a lunch at L'Astrance is at the top of my list. I have read about 10 different things regarding reservations -- 30 days out, two months, 9:30 a.m. Paris time, 10 a.m. Paris time, etc.

I woke up at 2:30 last night to call at 9:30 Paris time, only to get the recording (in very rapid French, which I couldn't decipher).

If you have booked there in the last two months:
• How far out were you allowed to book?
• What time did you call?
