Cajun Country food tour itinerary help.

Planning a trip centered around food for several days in November. The focus is on Cajun style of course. What do you all think about these places and do you recommend any specific dishes? We are looking for down home not so touristy spots with great food. Where else should we must go?

Dupuy's Oyster shop
glenda's
bon creole lunch counter
dwight's
old thyme po boys
lejeune kermit sausage kitchen
best stop supermarket
babineaux slaughter house

specific dishes we would like to try in cajun country..
catfish
crawfish etoufee, will we be able to find a good one if any in november?
frogs legs
bread pudding
boudin and cracklins

Where are the best places to find these specific things?

Red Hook Ballfields - 2013

does anyone know what time the vendors start closing up? if I get there by 7:30 will everything still be open?

What is the Spicy Mina, Chengdu Heaven, Southern Spice of today on chowhound?

ok so let me rephrase my question. What are the most popular inexpensive (under $20) ethnic restaurants amongst chowhounders currently in the outer boroughs?

What is the Spicy Mina, Chengdu Heaven, Southern Spice of today on chowhound?

I am looking to see if their is anything I have missed in terms of non American, hole in the wall restaurants in the outer boroughs, that have had long threads on Chowhound with many of the posts raving about the food. The three places I listed fit this description exactly I feel. Ayada is also in there as well.

What is the Spicy Mina, Chengdu Heaven, Southern Spice of today on chowhound?

What I mean, is there a restaurant around today (maybe a hole in the wall) that has received as much attention or maybe even was "discovered" by people on here? I remember there being very long threads discussing these dive-ish yet delicious places and am curious to see if there is an equivalent that I may have skipped over in 2013. Essentially I'm asking what hole in the walls is Chowhound raving about these days? Is there a consensus on anything?

Looking for the perfect Paris restaurants for my sister...

So my sister and her friend are going to Paris next month (shes never been to Europe) and I want to help her find the best places possible to experience the cuisine. Unfortunately she is kind of a picky eater, she wont do seafood or anything that seems too weird like organs etc. she doesnt wants to spend more than 50 euros pp on a meal. Im looking for cute places in cute neigborhoods that scream Paris. 2 lunches and 2-3 dinners

thanks for the help

What are the best dishes currently at Hiro Yakko San?

The other thread is a bit outdated so I felt a new one was in order. My mother and I are driving from WPB to Miami to eat here for the first time and we want to make sure we select the best/quintessential items on the menu.

I guess if you consider "Hiro Yakko San" and "south Florida" to be from Delray to Jupiter.

Is Le Sirene One of the best inexpensive restaurants right now in the city?

i thought it might have been obvious that when I asked you for an inexpensive "destination spot" other than Le Sirene I would'nt have meant a Lo mein joint or a deli. Im not going to make a new thread to ask one person a question. So I guess I should make myself more clear. What do you think is an inexpensive destination spot in the same price range as Le Sirene (any cuisine)?
