Eating frozen pie one slice at a time

Is there any reason why a frozen pie can't/shouldn't be eaten one slice at a time? I baked a Boston cream pie for my dad but there's no way he'll be able to eat the whole thing in a few days. If he cut one slice at a time with a warmed knife and then put the rest back in the freezer, would that work or would it ruin the pie?

Thanks!

ISO a lobster pasta salad recipe

Nice, that sounds great., thank you. No first course but definitely dessert. I haven't figured that part out yet, but probably something that will make use of our bumper crop of blueberries.

ISO a lobster pasta salad recipe

Excellent, this is perfect - thank you. I really like the idea of a creamy vinaigrette with it. Now what would you serve along side?

Preferably something that I can make ahead and serve cold or at room temp for an easy summer dinner party. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

What are some good accompaniments for Lobster Newburg?

I'm planning to serve it over puff pastry with a crisp arugula salad. What else?

Thanks for your help!

Easy and elegant fish recipe?

Thanks very much for the excellent suggestions! I think we'll go with the fish in parchment, but now I have several great recipes to try as well. Thanks!

poaching frozen salmon?

I have a ton of beautiful salmon in my freezer (the result of an Alaska fishing trip) but don't have a lot of experience cooking with frozen fish. If I want to poach some for tonight, do I need to thaw it first or can I just poach the frozen fillets? This site says I can poach it frozen, but I'm wondering if there's a taste difference.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Looking for a good bourbon flavor

I'm pregnant and desperately craving bourbon. I'm trying to find recipes that have a nice bourbon flavor (preferably with the alcohol cooked off). Doesn't matter what it is -- dessert, marinade, entree, whatever. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Salmon burgers?

Does anybody have a good recipe for salmon burgers made with fresh salmon? I'm looking for something that I can cook on a stovetop rather than a grill.

And while I'm at it, what's a good accompanying side dish other than fries?

Thanks!

The gift of fondue

I'm trying to come up with a birthday present for my mom, a woman who doesn't really need anything. She recently bought herself an electric fondue pot for family get-togethers (we're really into cheese) and I am thinking about putting together a fondue-themed gift basket. Any suggestions for what to include other than a fondue cookbook, a bottle of kirsch and maybe some good cheese? Her pot came with fondue forks and she won't need sterno. Thanks for your help!
