An unrivaled seafood chowder, followed by a fresh field greens salad. Entree was an incredibly well seasoned lobster [sauteed then stuffed with lobster, crab and scallop] and finished in a sherry-butter-garlic sauce. This was served with a twice-baked potato.I waited online for more than hour for a seat at this restaurant in Provincetown MA. Obviously well-worth the wait.
My current drink of choice:
Most very good dry white wines appeal to me.
I really wish I could:
Take a few treasured possessions... blow-off everything else... and move to the Italian countryside.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Would depend on the time of the year, [availability of local fresh products] and the type and the size of the dinner party I am going to.
My favorite comfort food:
Steaming hot cup of cocoa with a dollop of real whipped cream laced with raspberry liqueur.
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
I would have to wrestle with my taste buds for eons to honestly answer this question. While service and ambience are important factors to some... creativity, taste and presentation are key to me. I'd prefer to eat a fantastic meal on a picnic table behind a restaurant than a mediocere meal in a well designed setting.
My most tattered cookbooks:
hmmmmmm... there are several... I have been collecting cookbooks for way too many years and have amassed close to 300 to date.
