Breakfast in Lexington

There are very few options in the area, but previously mentioned Masa in Woburn / Winchester is very well done. They've got a very good "fiesta" deal on Saturdays and early on Sunday for about $8- it's probably one of the best breakfasts that we've had in Boston. It's not a diner, but roughly the same price.

Drinking in the South End

I love The Butcher Shop, but you'll go broke "drinking" there. But for one drink, it's the best place in the South End.

Yuzu juice in the city

I would try the new Japanese supermarket in Salem, but might be faster to just buy from Amazon:

momofuku noodle bar type places in boston???

A few thoughts from a recent NYC-transplant (but Boston native):

1) I've had a few good bowls of Ramen at Wagamama-- the Pru was a little inconsistent when it first opened, but it has settled down. I recognize that Wagamama is not David Chang, but it's pretty decent for what it is. I also like that our three in town are the only three in the US.

2) North by Northeast strikes me as the most "Momofuko" that I've been to. They're still getting their menu together, but the noodles are fresh.

3) Love (LOVE) Myers and Chang, but never even noticed traditional Ramen available there.

And if you happen to be in NYC: http://www.ippudo.com/ny/ is pretty amazing.

Need help finding a place!

I've never been to Grotto-- but might be exactly what we're looking for. I was also thinking about Green Street, Tupelo and maybe Stella (too far from the T though). Anyone have any thoughts about those options?

Need help finding a place!

I've been a longtime reader, but this is my first post. I'm putting together a group of tech folks (somewhere between 15-20) on Feb 22 or 23rd, looking for a suitable restaurant.

Hoping the Chowhound community can help!

1) We want to do a Prix Fixe of around $35-40 (without alcohol). We'll be using Eventbrite to take the money upfront.

2) Be near a T stop (near Green or Red preferably)

3) Must have a decent veggie option

4) We want to help a small locally owned restaurant-- maybe someplace that could use our help on a quiet Monday or Tuesday night.

5) Needs to have at least a beer and wine license.

6) Hoping for a private room or even take over a small restaurant.

7) Great food.

Any thoughts?
