2011 el bulli reservations

Try Hotel Ramblamar. We stayed there in Feb 2011 when we went to El Bulli. The hotel is on the main road and faces the beach. There is a parking lot directly across the street from the hotel. The hotel is old but we didn't spend too much time in the room. The front desk helped us call a cab to go to El Bulli and we ended up using that cab for our return trip to the hotel as well.

Itinerary help needed for Bilbao, San Sebastian, Hondarribia and Roija eating trip

Hi all, any restaurant suggestions? I'm thinking about the following restaurants, any input will be really helpful.

Jan 27 - arrive at Bilbao, dinner at Azumendi

Jan 28 - Bilbao, Lunch at cafe Iruna or Restaurante Mina?
Dinner Pintxos crawl

Jan 29 - need help to plan this day, are there any restaurants around Bilbao worth visiting? We have a reservation at Etxebarri on Jan 30, so thought best to stay around Bilbao on Jan 29.

Jan 30 - Etxebarri for lunch (already booked). Think the hotel in Axpe is closed so best to go back to San Sebastian for Pintxos crawl in the old town for dinner? Are bars open on Sunday night?

Jan 31 - San Sebastian. Any suggestions for a good lunch place? seems like most restaurants are closed on Mondays. Is Bar Zeruko a good choice for lunch followed by pintxos at In gros for dinner?

Feb 01 - San Sebastian - lunch at Arzak (booked), dinner at Bodegòn Alejandro?

Feb 02 - San Sebastian - Kokotxa for lunch, Elkano for dinner

Feb 03 - Hondarribia - Alameda for lunch or dinner

Feb 04 & 05 - have left 2 days for Rioja region. We need help with suggestions on where to go in this region. We're thinking about spending a night at Marqués de Riscal.

Your input on above schedule and restaurant suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again

Itinerary help needed for Bilbao, San Sebastian, Hondarribia and Roija eating trip

Hi all,

Would greatly appreciate your input on the best itinerary for a 10 days eating trip in Basque and Rioja.

My husband and I will arrive in Bilbao on Jan 27 and we need to fly out of Barcelona on Feb 06. Our current plan is to go from Bilbao to San Sebastian to Hondarribia to Rioja, then drive back to Barcelona. Travel wise, does the order make sense and if not what's the best order to visit these cities/towns/restaurants?

What are some of the out of way restaurants that we should try? We have booked Etxebarri, Elkano (travel wise, is it better to go from Bilbao or San Sebastian?), Asador Bedua (is it worth going for a traditional grill house experience after Etxebarri), a cider house (suggestions?).

Thanks for your travel suggestions.

Real Authentic Thai Food in Phuket? Where?

Try Palai Seafood near Chalong Bay. The restaurant is next to the beach and there are always lots of locals. It's on Soi Palai, the same road as Phuket Zoo. Our other favorite is Tunk-Ka Cafe on top Rung Hill in Phuket Town.

restaurant supply stores in Hong Kong

Take the train to Yau Ma Tei MTR Station and exit at B2. You'll be on Waterloo Road. Cross the street then that should be the beginning of Shanghai Street on where the Kitchen supply stores are located. Think the stores are in 300's Shanghai Road. Hope this helps.

Two nights in Hong Kong

A number of new Italian restaurants have opened in Soho, including W52 and Posto Pubblico. Posto Pubblico is NY style Italian and they serve local vegetables and homemade mozzarela. There is also a new modern comfort food restaurant called TBLS Kitchen Studio. The place serves tasting menu based on refined comfort foods. It's very tasty and interesting.

Authentic "cosy" Italian in Hong Kong

Try Pane & Vino on Robinson Road. They have great pastas. They also have a sister restaurant in Wanchai called Pomodoro.

Hong Kong in June - Dining suggestions?

Try Fu Sing Shark Fin Seafood Restaurant in Wanchai. The place is great for dim sum and has some very innovative dim sum items. But you must book for a table.

We also love Chili Fagara in Soho for spicy Sichuan food and Xiao Nan Guo in Central for Shanghainese food.

If you want a nice romantic place then try Hu Tong in One Peking Road for the setting and view.

You should try Shanghai Street. The street is filled with Kitchen supply stores and you just might find the knife there.

Western restaurant in Hong Kong for Chinese New Year's Eve (Feb. 13)

Hi, you can try TBLS Kitchen Studio in Soho on Hollywood. It's a new restaurant and they offer a 6 courses tasting menu for $480. The place is very hidden so you can probably still secure a reservation for Feb 13. The number is 2544-3433 and website is www.tbls-kitchenstudio.com.
