Greek or Portuguese Catering
Hi there,
I am planning a wedding for the end of August in Montreal. We are holding it at the Pavillion on Beaver Lake - which is such a great venue but the food has had some very terrible reviews. We are hoping to bring in our own catering, but traditional caterers are out of our price range.
One idea we had was to bring in an outside restaurant as a caterer. Particulary, I'm interested in doing a greek buffet with some fresh Souvlaki or possibly some Portuguese food.
Does anyone know of any restaurants that may be willing to supply some food for our wedding? The plates and linens come with our venue, and we are willing to hire independent staff if the restaurant cannot provide it... We just want some good food that represents Montreal and won't bankrupt us!
Thanks!

Thanks - great ideas. We are going to go check out some of these places next week! Please keep the good ideas coming if you think of any more.
Rooftop/ Outdoor Wedding in Montreal
Hi there,
We are planning to hold our wedding this summer in Montreal, with 80-100 guests. We're hoping to spend about $100-$130 pp.
The other wedding posts (we've read all of them) all had good advice about venues, but we are looking for something a bit different and were hoping for some fresh ideas.
We'd love something with an outdoor component. Ideally, we'd hold the wedding on a Saturday night during the fireworks festival, and it would be incredible to find a venue (rooftop?) from which to see the fireworks.
We have looked at the Montreal Science Centre, but it's a bit too pricey for us. We've also looked at a couple of restaurants/hotels nearby (Narcisse, Verses), which are great- but their terraces are too small (closer to 60 ppl). So maybe someone has a good idea for an interesting wedding venue that can accommodate 80-100? And it doesn't have to be a rooftop- We're just hoping for something a bit unique; perhaps a courtyard, a garden, a terrasse, or a cool building (something like Cluny- but they couldn't accommodate our dates) would be wonderful.
We have a lot of guests coming to Montreal and would like them to experience the city, so we're also hoping for something in town, and not the outskirts/suburbs.
Wow. I realize that sounde like a lot of requirements- but really we're just excited to get creative input
THANK YOU!!!!!
