McCarthy's in Embassy Suites hotel used to have small plates and had happy hour but I have not been in about a year. But my guess is info would be online. It is to the south east of exit 181 on i5.

Have you ever gone to tea room at port gamble? They have a website if you want to check it out with list of menus and chocolates.
HOF BRAU ANYONE?
There are several good restaurants in Leavenworth, Wa but I like the homemade swiss chocolate shop the best..
Also in Mt Angel oregon in September they have an Oktoberfest, and one in Leavenwoth in October which have live bands but not exactly the same food you find in hofbraus.

Best Burgers for a sunday afternoon?
Redline burgers and Maddox restaurant Maddox burger in Lynnwood. Redline makes their burgers from scratch but it is really their homemade fries and Maddox burger has avacado,cheese,bacon,burger,lettuce,tomato and thousand island dressing . Yum. Both are great.
I have also gone to miners in Yakima but I like these two better.
roadtrip through Oregon and Washington
I have not eaten here but they have a L & L Hawaiian Barbeque in Lynnwood Wa. (Since you said your boyfriend was from Hawaii.) They are online and show locations and menus. Good Farmers markets in Olympia. Seattle, and Bellingham more info online. There are a few food tours offered in Seattle of pike place market with samples and they also have cheaper market tours with out food.by market.
The Local Yoke Cafe, Lynnwood Wa
Once was enough. We went last weekend and I ordered a scramble not an omelet. My order came back as an omelet and I told the waiter I ordered a scramble and he looked at order and remembered that is what I ordered and said this is not a scramble and took it back to kitchen and he came back with omelet and said kitchen said it was a scramble. I said again it was not what I ordered and waiter took omelet back to kitchen to redo and it came back as a cut up omelet not a scramble and I realized I was never going to get a scramble but it really made me angry that the cook thought I could not tell the difference. I eat some of it and mentioned my problem to manager or owner when I paid bill and their answer was "oh" no I am sorry or anything. We will not be back. I have never had this experience with cook or the owner.
