Mae Ploy Curry Paste?

Thanks for your suggestions! And yes, bmorecupcake, I've actually only ever had Mae Ploy (out of the plastic containers) and love it! I will have to check H Mart out - to be honest, I haven't been looking too hard...

Is there anywhere in DC that may sell it?

Mae Ploy Curry Paste?

Does anyone know where I can buy Mae Ploy curry paste? I haven't seen it since I've moved here (to DC), and am willing to drive to MD or VA if necessary!

I miss my curry so any help would be much appreciated!!

Saturday Brunch and a unique late afternoon snack in DC

Thank you all for the wonderful suggestions! I tried making reservations and some of the recommended spots, but a lot were booked up.

We ended up wandering around the Mall area and had late reservations for Jaleo, but were starving and ended up at Ping Pong. That was definitely a fun experience. Maybe not the best food ever, but we had a good time.

We also ate at Zaytinya for brunch. Really good food and we will be heading back for dinner sometime!

Since I will be moving up soon, I am looking forward to trying all your other suggestions soon! Thanks again!

Thanks again for all the suggestions! I tried making reservations for Tabard Inn for the 13th last night, but they are booked solid... guess we'll have to go once I move up there.

And yes, Raids, my bf loves beer - his favorite are (high gravity) Belgian beers. I looked at your suggestions, and will definitely make the trip over there sometime!

Wow! Thank you for all your speedy suggestions... I will definitely check them all out!

I was reading about Tabard Inn last night, and saw that it got great reviews... A couple other places I saw were Perry's, Beacon Bar & Grill, and Cafe Atlantico. Would you recommend those?

Saturday Brunch and a unique late afternoon snack in DC

My boyfriend has just moved up to DC (I am moving up soon as well) and hasn't had time to explore the restaurant scene yet, but I will be visiting for Valentine's weekend. I wanted to find a place for Saturday brunch (or brunch + lunch) as well as something light for late afternoon/early evening (maybe a wine bar or brewpub).

For Saturday brunch, I know I saw some places on the pricey side, but would like to keep it under $30 per person including drinks.. any recommendations for nicer places (maybe with a celebrity chef) around DC?

And.. any suggestions for some unique places where we can grab a drink and tapas/something light in the afternoon?

Any comments would be appreciated!
